Regardless of whether you're right or not...
what the fuck did you expect?
This particular board is dedicated to System Shock 2, of course it's going to be crawling with fanboys. It's one of many logical assumptions one can make regarding the internets that if you go to a board solely dedicated to a product, the people their will be rabid fans of said product (the exception to this is customer support forums)
Another accurate assumption is that people with numbers at the end of their names cannot spell or capitalize or exhibit intelligent behavior. As of this thread, this assumption has not been disproved.
Thank you and goodnight.
I CAN spell and capitalize, I just find it useless on the internet.

Just as a rather belated explanation, on TTLG many members tend to be sticklers for proper spelling and punctuation. Whilst members for whom English is not their first language (and buglunch) tend(ed) to get some leeway, on the whole you can expect fairly constant criticism if you use shorthand etc.

Using an abbreviation common in written English does not equal shorthand.

System Shock 2 was and still is the best game I've ever played. I've played it over 15 times all the way through. I'll soon be starting my first of three play throughs for the winter playing season. Yes I'm a rabid System Shock 2 fan.
I'm not going to try and point out what I like about System Shock 2 as so many others have done a very fine job. I'll try to get you to look at it from a different point of view as to why you don't see what's so great about it. These are just my thoughts, not a slam.

1. Play game in a darkened room.
2. Play game with headphones or a darn good surround sound system.
3. Get into the story. I think that's a large part of the game.
4. Up the difficulty. I've yet to meet anyone who has beaten the game on impossible mode.
If you want non-stop action, this game isn't for you. It's more of a first-person stealth game than first-person shooter. Tactics, strategy and resource management count more than how fast you can aim and shoot.

I'd say you were
very new here, but your join date and lack of 'new' in front of Member speak otherwise. Which leaves me confused.
