burmese rotis - potato and beef, fuck they are insanely good.
Don't know how I missed this... For me it's more like "Oh, Burmese food again." It's great stuff -- don't misunderstand me -- But I've had 3-squares a day of it for ~3 months. Ironically my one break was went I went to Laos for the visa run, I could finally just get a few slices of pizza. I'm exaggerating a bit though... Fortunately for me, it is consistently really good.
My students had like 4 exams this week, sort of mid-end of the term or whatever. But the happy thing today was I let them play a game for my class today. It was fun.

I enjoy it when you talk about your class, dema. Have you been keeping a blog of it or anything?

Same here! It's great to read about you and the kids you teach. You should keep a journal, like the teacher who went to Japan to teach elementary school there and... wait, that was you too, wasn't it? Well, at least you didn't learn about kancho first-hand. At least I hope not. Write more! :)

Thanks. Heh, I sometimes catch myself calling them "kids" too, but they're law students, some of them undergrad aged and some of them just graduated... But because their country has been closed for so long, a lot of stuff we're teaching is this big new world they're being opened up to. It is pretty cool. And even young adults can enjoy a good class game after 4 exams haha. :)
Edit: I was thinking about a blog, and another idea was a podcast (when Duck was doing his)... But I was getting hung up on what exactly I wanted to do & how. I should put more thought into this.

Yeh dema shit you write is awesome, really admire what you are doing. re: burmese food I only get it once a month the local church has a fundraiser for the burmese community (which is quite large here in Perth, go figure) at the end of each month, the only time I actually attend church! I then proceed to make myself incredibly sick on rotis somasas and biryani for the rest of the Sunday, good times.

I've managed to run Thief on my computer, thanks for the people on this forum and I also fixed my printer. :)

I did a take home quiz for my college algebra course this afternoon instead of waiting the night before or worse an hour before class to do it. Same for studying notes from lectures for my psychology test that's due Monday.
The part that makes me happy is that I am fighting against procrastination and (for the most part) winning. Especially with all the other games I've got that I'd otherwise be playing.

Girlfriend's half-yearly check-up (cancer op several years ago, lung mets in 2009) was clean. Somewhat too exhausted to be happy, but it's there somewhere, buried under the tiredness. :-)
Wonderful news! :)
I'm happy one of my novels gets a new life in paperback form! With a new (hopefully fabulous) cover, too. And this weekend it's the Turku Book Fair, woohoo :D

I took a little time off of work to check on my sister's dogs for her, and they didn't pee up the joint! And I brought my laptop, intending to get an hour's work done, and instead just pet them and talked to them a whole bunch. :3
