I’ll tell you what made me happy today.
As someone who very much enjoyed the quirky medical comedy drama Scrubs (enough to watch the whole thing* 3 times), I was assigned to a project and my client is addressed as Dr. Akula.
Take a photo of my life, because it’s pretty much done now.
* Not counting the medical school series, because we don't mention that.

You want to know what made me happy today? I was sad that as a responsible dad-son-brother-relative I was going to forgo getting Alice Cooper tickets in favor of buying presents and paying bills at Christmas. My daughter, seeing me bummed, let me in on the fact that my present from her was ALICE COOPER TICKETS! It's like an O'Henry story but in reverse. I've wanted to see his show since I was 15 but never did somehow. That I get to has me stoked but that my daughter loves me that much is what really made my day.

Herring! Pickled Herring! Pickled Herring in Sour Cream! Pickled Herring in Sour Cream on Dark Rye Pumpernickel Bread! This makes me happy! Also Vodka, Vodka makes me happy, or at least makes me believe that I am happy, and therefor makes me happy, or makes me believe that I believe that I am happy, which is enough to make me believe that I am happy, which is fundamentally the same as being happy, unless I am wrong, in which case more vodka will make me happy. (or happier, unsure at this point of my happiness) Did I mention Vodka? Also any post by PigLick makes me happy, as well as any post by MrDuck, and spring rolls, spring rolls make me happy, especially when it is not spring. The fact that the Little Monster seems likely to sleep through the night without incident (tonight makes night number 4 without incident) makes me happy, as does the thought that I can get shitfaced without worrying about needing to act sober in the emergency room. Did I mention the Herring? Good stuff! Also happy that noone here will judge me too harshly for getting plastered when I should be not getting plastered. P.S. give me a break, it's Friday night and some famous person once said that a truly civilized man knows that a truly civilized man knows that sometimes a truly civilized man needs to get drunk. I may have that wrong, because I am well and truly drunk, but I am going to lay the blame for that on the Herring, or PigLick, or MrDuck, or anyone else that I can reasonably pass the blame off to. I am also happy that this is the internet, and thus I will not have to face any of you in The Real World tomorrow, which would involve at the least a heartfelt apology, if not a full scale intervention. P.S.S. HERRING!
