Me? (60)
Unless this is an attempt at mocking Kuuler for saying ur instead of your ^.^
I'm a bit slow sometimes.
Gingerbread Man on 24/10/2003 at 21:25
Actually, I have no idea what I'm saying. It just sounded funny in my head, so I let it get out to play.
I find it strange that you can get higher than level 50, to be honest. Unless cranking the difficulty level right to the top makes that much of a difference...
I wandered off to have a look at Dagoth Ur when I got to leve 50 or so, fully expecting to get my ass kicked back to Ghostgate for being such a presumptuous nitwit, but I discovered that it was so easy as to be crazy disappointing.
There's no balance in Morrowind. So if you're a 50+ level character being played by an idiot who can't FIND half the things he's supposed to do, it seems a woeful combination of insane frustration punctuated by encounters that make you yawn.
Love the game, love its potential. Ball dropped at every turn, though. Bethesda must be managed by the same guy who coached the Buffalo Bills in the early 90s.
YAY WE GOT TO THE SUPERBOWL FS WHO LET NORWOOD KICK?

Marv Levy designed Morrowind? Maybe that explains why you can never truly "win" the game.
RyushiBlade on 25/10/2003 at 01:30
Who's Marv Levy? (i.e., what games has he previously worked on?)
I don't get around much... Gah.
Kilana on 25/10/2003 at 03:05
He used to coach the Buffalo Bills...

Turn the diff. to 100+, and play as a Thief
I was a 38 thief, with glass armor and all sorts of artifacts, But even then i had problems beating a deadra lord! :)

Or if you're really hardcore, play without a monitor.
The game makers shouldn't have to balance the game for you, you should do it yourself.

That's such BS. What do you have to strive for then? It's not like you can help getting experience anyway.
Initially the fun was in developing your character into something. Especially as the enemies you meet are (largely) graded by your hardness. It kept you trying and there were some serious no-go areas. The game is still great though.
