Heh, you seem to take it personally. Sorry dude, I just answer the question, no one said you have to agree. I just think it's crap design...
that's all. relax.
You said that the player must be able to interact with anything they can reach. I pointed out that it's not the same thing as saying don't overuse fake doorways. You tried to gaslight me into thinking I must have misunderstood, that you were saying the exact same thing both times.
THAT'S what I was saying bullshit too.
Then you post again referring to me as "people like you".
YOU relax, asshat.

I wouldn't take it to heart, uncadonego. Some people just take delight in being wrong and making sure everybody knows they are. It's quite clearly one of the most outlandish and ignorant takes I've ever seen on this site but it's more funny to me than anything else.

It's originaly just a tribute to GloriaCreep or Lady Rowena who both enjoy that little doll so authors put them in their FMs.
But well, nowaday we are several authors who stopped doing this tribute because of Downwinder and his creepy obsessional fetish about this doll that he mentions over and over and to the point we are many to have started to dislike this stupid doll to death...
My new book '
downwinder on the Couch' will soon be available for preorder.

I have another one: inflationary use of food props in FMs - better make 90% of them unfrobbable/unusable like in KoI

There were a few missions where aesthetics of food variety was aligned with adequate gameplay: all food comes in one big sack. Cakes, apples, sausages, fish, etc. Just in one big food sack. Alas, FM authors rarely pay attention to such unimportant details.

Food has healing properties (with a low and/or random probability), but still, eating a bunch of them will most likely restore some health points.

And that is one of the problems. If I have 20 steaks, 20 sausages, 20 breads, 20 cucumbers, 20 cheeses, 20 sweet rolls, etc it just breaks everything. I like it if these things are used moderately. That's all.

Uses a pejorative then says relax. K.

I would have hoped/thought that a reply that solicited replies from seven people that should know better would be seen as an opportunity to learn something about mission design. I guess not so....insults are better, I guess.
Funny that Galaer used Home Sweet Home as an example, although there are dozens of building with only one explorable room, and literally dozens of buildings with no frobbable doors......
Great mission, or "crap design"?
I know that at one point TTLG was considered a place where only smoke was blown up FM builders' asses, and that it need to get to a place where FM authors would be ready to hear players' genuine critcisms. But now it seems it has come full circle, to a place where designers can't even talk back and tell criticizers that they haven't a clue what they're talking about, where it is warranted.

P.S. only tangentially related to this.....
LONG LIVE LADY ROWENA!!!!!!! Gone but never, ever forgotten!
