another one..swordproof banners.... as well as locked doors that are pick-proof and there's not a clue as to finding the key...

I also have a few:
- ridiculously hidden loot items (e.g. tiny ring randomly on the ground in a huge garden) that are actually required to hit the loot goal
- no proper closing objective -- when the mission automatically ends after you found 800 loot, making it a pain/impossible to actually fully explore and rob the area
- partial don't let people see you/alerted objectives (where you can KO people, but you have mission failed if a body is found) especially if there are random lantern guards patrolling around who actually have a chance to find these bodies - a proper forced ghosting objective would be still better than these in my opinion
- forced ghosting/noKO etc. objectives without a proper reason
- lack of basic equipment (compass, sword, blackjack, lockpicks), except if there's a proper explanation, why it's missing ("I randomly lost it during a walk in the park", "it was too heavy to worth the trouble bringing it with myself" are very poor excuses) :nono:
Though, lack of compass is bad and annoys me in general.
- objectives that certainly conflict with Garrett's personality
- things that conflict with the storyline of the original games

Bullshit
What is , I stand by everything I said.... non-functioning stuff is bad level design. The exception which maybe I didn't make clear originally was that if the building or location had an alternate way in or function... it's the functionless filler I have a problem with and people like you who have problems with my pet peeve.. :D

Yeah, that's it, keep the stupidity going. You had intruder, me, Random_Taffer, McTaffer, skacky, Brethren, and FireMage all try to explain to you that it's not practical, or even desirable from a design standpoint, but yeah, we're the ones that don't get it.
Every mission ever built has the "design flaw" you are describing. Every one of them.
Not liking a city mission where it's mostly filler is one thing. Doubling down and saying if the player can reach it, it needs to be frobbable, isn't the same thing.
Drop it.

What is the backstory about that doll? I see it in almost every FM but still haven't figured out the reason. Is that some kind of DromEd joke?
It's originaly just a tribute to GloriaCreep or Lady Rowena who both enjoy that little doll so authors put them in their FMs.
But well, nowaday we are several authors who stopped doing this tribute because of Downwinder and his creepy obsessional fetish about this doll that he mentions over and over and to the point we are many to have started to dislike this stupid doll to death...
