We should put together an FAQ... lol.
Where did you get that 80% chameleon amulet from? That'd help so much if I had it... if you enchant you can only get 24% onto a single amulet. I had to enchant two rings, an amulet, pants, shirt and belt to get over 100% (which is VERY handy.)

Just make a ring to do 100% for 10 seconds or so, just as usefull for stealing and less hassle as you don't have to spend half an hour putting it on. You can use an invisibility for moving around unseen, then use your 100% chamelon to attack/steal.

The 80% chameleon amulet is a result of doing a non-guild/faction quest. Somewhere in the wilderness around Gnisis you get asked to dive into a pool to retrieve a lady's ring. Get the ring and you'll be presented with an opportunity to acquire said amulet (being deliberately vague here!). I got it early in the game, and I'm still using it, at level 70 or so. An excellent item.
Driver: in case you didn't get it, the Daedric Crescent is acquired thus:
1. Go see Divayth Fyr in Tel Fyr.
2. Ransack his chests/shelves in his office and equip the Daedric Sanctuary amulet.
3. Do what must be done.
4. Teleport out (make sure you have the means, either spell or scroll!)
Oh yes, Dwemer Pneuma-Trap. What? Where? BTW, pneuma is Greek for breath, I believe, so it presumably takes your breath away!

What's this Dwemer Pneuma-Trap? I've never seen it or heard about it.
It is an enchanted double handed axe. its damages are : 1-36, 1-34, 1-16 and has soultrap for 30 seconds. it looks wonderful as its golden blade nearly completes a full turn and makes a circle. i think i found it in the locked room of the armor shop that... well when u exit fighters guild of Balmora, turn right and it is just on the left... there is a bridge that connects two houses on two sides of the road. the shop is just under that bridge... i dont know if it was random but i dont think so... if so, i'm really very lucky. although i dont use it:) there was also a Dwarven Claymore (unenchanted) and an enchanted steel claymore... it is nice too... and a set of silver blades of all sizes... and some more... i had to go there several times to carry all of them:) the shop keeper must have gone mad when he faced the empty room:) i am not a thief...
:erm: erm... or maybe i am... but i do it as a hobby:cool:

I think that room door has a locklevel at 90.
You have to take your hobbys seriously ;)

eheh:laff:
yes...my first customized spells were "open 100" and "open perfect" (for 49-100) and i have a natural ability to open 50 as my sign is Tower:) does it make me a thief? i made those spells to rob the mages guild (that i have been living in) when all the witches there left for a while... i am going to be the arch mage but i hope they are unaware of the robbery:cheeky:

Something interesting re: the crescent... it hasn't been posted in awhile, so here goes...
1) Get the amulet Ania mentions and use it
2) Immediately cast a Mark, then resolve the current situation
3) When you're warped back to Fyr's, Recall and get the other crescent from a certain corpse.
4) Use an Intervention spell
Voila, you now have two crescents. ;)
(NOTE: I'm not certain this wasn't fixed in a patch, but I'd be surprised if it was)

IIRC, i picked it myself and, then found myself in tel fyr. (i wouldn't dare to leave it there would i?)but i dont know if it is the same as i picked or they just changed it with a second one while sending me back, and put the first one back to the lord's inventory:)
actually i was already back to aldruhn when i used the amulet and i got mad when i found myself in tel fyr again so i couldnt think about those kind of tricks at the moment.:)

I really like Trueflame and Hopesfire. I actually like to use Hopesfire more, because it seems a little lighter and cooler to use.
But I ideologically prefer Trueflame, because it was the sword of Nerevar, and not the sword of that
crazed, wilful, annoying, pompous, mad, queen-of-the-universe cow Almalexia!
.
