(It's a rant so get out if you don't feel like reading a lot of hurr-durr)
So I decided to check Point Lookout mostly because Beth released a new patch. Well apparently the new patch addressees all the issues people have had and fixes every bug in the game! NOT! Not even one bug.
The patch adds new achievements for Point Lookout...
50 mb patch.... for some retarded "killed 10 things" or "swallowed da shut!" achievements....
If Beth expects someone who can hardly play the game 10 minutes without crashing to desktop to buy some dong of a dlc without even giving a shit about problems from the first fucking game then I hope those money grubbing whores get fucked with a dirty knife every time they smile.

Key undocumented changes in v1.6Fixed the major issue introduced in v1.5 where loads of mods were broken. I.e. those that introduced new entities, structures and like.

Good news! It seems that the v1.6 patch DOES fix the mod problems that v1.5 had. Apparently Bethesda didn't think that such a fix was important enough to mention (or wasn't considered a bug in the first place). However the v1.6 patch and all my ESPs are working just fine. All the objects are where they should be and I am having no saving problems.
I have about a dozen or so mods loaded, including UF3P, and the game has not crashed once since I updated. VATs works much quicker then I remember it did in v1.4 however there is still a slight delay, though a much more tolerable one. For me that happens to be about half a second (no more than 1 second at most).
EDIT: If you have any FOSE mods and are upgrading to v1.6, be sure to get the newest FOSE Beta.

O.K., downloaded and tested it with two Plugins I made after the Bugs of 1.5 become known here
Bug #1: Saving Crash
I placed a CRBrahmin at Vault101Exterior
Fast travelled as far as possible and saved
--> no crash, fixed
Bug #2: Vanishing\Resetting Objects
Placed non-persistent Statics in the the Vault101 Exterior-Cell
fast travelled to Girdershade, to Megaton, to Tenpenny Tower
saved
--> no vanishing, fixed
Bug #3: Skin color on new NPC's defaults to "white" no matter what
not fixed

So yeah, v1.5 fixed VATS perks that were broken in v1.1. But v1.5 also broke compatibility with a fuckton of mods. That's typical Bethesda, release a patch that fixes 5 things, but also breaks 2 more.

It has a fuckload of bugs in it (Point Lookout). Theres a few rooms that froze my pc within 10 seconds if I stayed in them. EXTREMELLY annoying :mad:.

It's not a bug, it's a feature.

from what I heard point lookout doesn't work very well if you have other mods running as well.
Ignore what I said, its just plainly buggered. got a copy from someone, loaded it up into geck and it geck constantly complains about missing textures and objects before crashing. It should load in cos the pitts does without any problems.
For some reason after the bugger load into geck, crash from geck, the addon plays without any problems, go figure.
