The Dark Engine renderer. Based on DirectX.

man I wish Xfire in game would work for DX6

Why would you need Xfire for a single-player game?
DarkShadowX on 26/2/2010 at 06:21
Because I wanted to do a live broadcast of the game as I play it so those who don't have the game can enjoy it by watching a live stream of it.

Try using the old DX9-based version of DDfix. Whilst running that the game would automatically CTD when I went to search corpses, but YMMV.
