What if you asked the magic 8 ball "Does the magic 8 ball always lie" and it's response was "Yes"?

These are the kind of questions which makes one ponder the true meaning of life, and that helps people to appriciate the small things in life.
This is why I shouldn't have been a computer scientist...because I've actually HEARD that question before...except it was a magic LAMP:sweat:

I'm slipping, cant even think of a joke tie-in about wangs and 8-balls
Scots Taffer on 25/2/2009 at 04:50
will piglick recover from this terrible non-wang-joke affliction?
IT IS DOUBTFUL
oh god no
i could do some damage with a wang and 8 balls tho oooooh yeah
Jason Moyer on 25/2/2009 at 04:51
I know if I do too many 8-balls I have serious wang issues.
crunchy on 25/2/2009 at 04:51
Wouldn't that be 4 wangs?

In the case of a magic 8 ball, all it means is that the little piece of plastic with the "Yes" on it arbitrarily came up first when you shook it that one time.
In the case of the logical foundations of mathematics and Gödel incompleteness, it means that ultimately math is without consistent logical foundation and can at best be merely a social convention we use to feel good about ourselves.
Thanks for reminding us once again of the awful truth.

Well, if you only do one, it kinda limits itself. The problem is when the party really gets going and you end up doing half a dozen, ya know?
