First, take a look at this screenshot:

http://www.hta-bi.bfh.ch/~thonr/thief/table.jpgIt's from the Lucky Money in Hong Kong, top floor. Now, what's so special about it? It's the fourth time I'm playing through the game, but the first time I realized there was a top floor in the Lucky Money featuring a table-dancing girl! I missed the stairs leading up the former three times!
No matter how often I play this game, I keep finding new locations I missed before. I was unaware of Jock's apartment until my second time through. The same with the secret lab in NY's sewers and the scientist in the collapsed tunnel underneath Hong Kong's canals.
This is one of the reasons why I love Deus Ex. It's got so many half-hidden locations and secret rooms that it's really worth playing through it more than just once. Let's hope they give us just as much to discover in DX 2 :)

Same here, i must be on the sixth or seventh time now and I only just found some of the secret underwater rooms on the Sub mission. It took me 4 turns to find Jock's Apartment (!), 3 to find Lucius de Beers and 5 to find Paris Building #14 (i think, where icarus phones you).
Also I have only just found a secret underwater room in Vandenburg.......or maybe i just couldnt be bothered to dispose of the multitools.....
Anyway must go, Misery's on C4 and it's one of the scariest films ever (that fucking slasher Scream-type shit makes me laugh, Misery's the only post 1980 scary-film....)

Same here. The table dancing thing especially, and the bathrooms in Lucky Money. I stumbled on them when trying to flee from the MJ12 commandos. Nice stuff, to have surprises like that, keeps you exploring already familiar places with new interest= what if there's till something here:D In Chateau Duvall, I also found the secret room in Nicole's room by just thinking whether I could through a skull on a mantelpiece through a window, heh. And the ramp leading to the secret computer room in the chateau. Not exactly a secret, but there you go. I'm actually pretty sure I haven't found out everything about the Paris parts yet, since there didn't seem to be that many of these kinda scenes, just plain streets and buildings. There's gotta be something more!

There are so many possibilities within Deus Ex I can't but love this game. Come to think of it, I think I'll play it again soon :) Last time I did so I, apart from attempting (mostly successfully, as described in the DX: Thou Shalt Not Kill thread) the no-kills approach, discovered the second flooded zone at the Ocean Lab; I wonder if I find anything new this time...

How do you get to that scientist in the collapsed tunnels in Hong Kong? I could never find him...

Check the 'Some questions' thread here. Hope it helps;)

"I sPEEL my DRINK!"
Funny though, I found the guy in the collapsed tunnels my first time through. Although it wasn't 'til the second time through that I actually found out he was the guy I was looking for.
