In the last mission of King’s Story you have to fight some sort of werewolf lol. Although there’s a way to get rid of him without fighting it.

Adsk1 likes his boss fights, all of his missions/campaigns have one, the one in Thief’s Rising 1 is a puzzle based boss fights that not easy to solve.
And Cardia used to make fighting missions, easy on normal play as you always have super efficient weapons, but on expert they are nightmares.

IIRC (because I was the person that actually resuscitated this FM into a releasable state, so I got to know the individual areas really well), SlyFoxx's area was just the bar right before this area so you could get a drink and take a breath before you went on. I think this part was actually TheDude's part. But it was so long ago I can't remember exactly. I just remember SlyFoxx's was just the bar. It was easy to lose track of whose areas were whose because sometimes you could get by without noticing or remembering the name changes.
Also TheDude had a lot of technical marvelry in his part, which I think include these amazing AI, so I want to be sure he gets his due.
Oh, my opinion? I would have probably thought of Lady Rowena from Rowena's Curse too even if I hadn't seen it in the OP. But the other first one that comes to mind, which isn't so much of a boss fight as just a boss ending, was that
giant spider at the end of Deceptive Perceptions! :eek:

serial killer, but it's DarkMod so maybe doesn't count. I like how it turned out though. There was quite a bit of setup for it.

Chain project? yeah I just had the file for a week or so and made a crappy bar. The mission was just a puppy at that point as I recall.
