What faction have you chosen [particularly your first time through].
I've chosen to go with duty because I had fun with them in the last game and I felt like they were the strongest and most professional.
BTW: Has anyone else noticed clear sky bandits have marijuana emblems on them, the reference to herb getting you high in freedom and the Duty game's required score for points is... 420 ... Whats up with the weed references in this game?

I've not yet played the game more than half an hour, replaying Penumbra now, but what do you mean by "the Duty game's required score for points is... 420 ..." ?

Which factions are even joinable? Early in the developement, they said that you could join, like, any faction, but it seems to have boiled down to 4-5 ...?

I joined the Stalkers. I didn't want to make an enemy of Freedom or Duty and lose out on any missions or equipment they could offer. Plus the Bandits mugged me when I first entered Garbage and I wanted REVENGE.

4 20 = 4th month 20th day, a stoner's excuse to get high b/c it's hitler's b-day. It's dumb.
But I've joined Duty and eliminated the Freedom base, but I want a nade launcher for the Sig and I know the Freedom base sold them, now I can't find one anywhere. I may have screwed myself.

There's a grenade launcher In the Red Forest. When you're given the quest by Forester to kill off some bandits, there's a small sub-level in the tunnels where their base is. It's only two rooms, one filled with electrical anomolies. There's a GL laying in the corner opposite the urinals.

I joined the stalkers because I always found their suit the coolest looking, and I just like their mentality. Not a lot of politicism to it, just going into the zone to make a buck. I can respect that.
Also I thought 420 was because that was supposed to be the police code for a drug bust. I've never heard it as a hitler's birthday reference...

Stalkers because only a dead bandit is a good bandit. Each time a bandit dies horribly in a vortex god creates a kitten.
Bandits had the leaves on their bags in SoC too but that "LOOK DRUGS LUL" stuff is new. I think i heard some guys calling each other "homies" too :laff:
PS : Whats the russish word for homies? :o

Well I just got past and I was wondering if CS has more than 1 ending. Anyone know? The last couple levels get really buggy and I had to restart the ending just so the scripts in the game would work properly
I want to play through again under other factions though, their surprisingly fun! Under Duty you end up being able to buy the machine gun and the Duty Exoskeleton as well as different better duty armor. But sadly there is barely any mission in Duty. You also get an upgraded AK [one of the black ones] with a nade launcher, scope, and several small upgrades as soon as you join.
Is it possible to join military or are they always enemies?
