What is Harvey actually doing now?
He posts on Facebook all the time!

I mean surely Eidos Montreal must have offered him a job on the prequel so why wouldn't he take it?
When DX3 was getting started he was working on Blacksite: Area 51 for Midway.

Um... Spector? I think Macha was asking about you guys extending Warren Spector a job offer, and I'm guessing he'd already started Junction Point by then.

Yes, but it is still an iPhone game...
I can imagine getting to work on a small project with more creative freedom on a new piece of tech would be quite refreshing after the big projects of the last few years. Probably does Smith well to get down to basics and just trying to code something that's fun to play without having to worry too much about PR, fitting into well-selling genres or managing a huge team.

I mean seriously? Mickey Mouse? My respect for that man has went down hill big time if thats the case.
Actually he said in an interview(with RPS, iirc) that he'd love to work on Carl Barks material. I'd love to see something like that. Disney games used to hold up to very high standards, back in the day. That Mickey & Donald game on Sega Gensis was great. The Lion King and Aladdin were all kinds of kick ass. And the DuckTales game on Amiga was a technical marvel in it's day. The characters in it actually talked! Like, not just text, but actual audio. And it had like a ton of different gameplay styles and a non-linear story. (although some of this might just be my rose-tinted glasses talking) For the past decade and a half, however, the quality of Disney's output has declined severly and amounted to little more than movie tie-ins. Making a game that can rival what Disney Interactive put out in it's glory days is a worthy challenge for Spector, I would say.

He said Harvey first then Warren second and someone already answered about Junction Point and Disney. I filled in the blank! :D

Heh, happens. I was just confused. You should see me fill in the blanks with the Geometric Transformations I'm currently summarizing... :erm:

He is working on an "immersive first-person RPG", according to Gamasutra.
Quote:
Smith noted that "Arkane as a company is very focused on immersive first-person experiences," and specifically commented on his core design tenets: “My focus is very much around games like Deus Ex,"
Smith mentioned that he was particularly happy in getting back to the kinds of experiences that he helped to design with titles such as Deus Ex and Thief: Deadly Shadows.
So, if that project is still alive, it could be something great. :) The iPhone game was only a side project.
