I use mine to make music mostly... I create music for games, movies, short films, commercials...
secondly i'd say for just general media... I make movies... I'd like to hookup my computer to my home appliances so i can call my house/computer from a cell phone, press 3#350, and my oven pre-heats to 350 after hanging up.or press 5 and my air conditioning kicks on. I've been planning to do this for quite some time but I don't have enough money,so for now, i just keep making my music. damn expensive computer accessories.

The home computer? Main use, and only logical use. Games, lots, and lots, of freaking games.

Internet & music, often together in one program. I also do schoolwork on it (though I'm on break now), but since I don't have a printer I just e-mail stuff to myself and then print it out on computers that do. In one of my classes I was also storing programs on a different computer, and using my personal one to access and work on them remotely.

Myself, being a generator of code, I use it for work. Being also in need of entertainment, I use it for play as well.

Reading internet-stuff, mostly. I also spend far too much time playing those simple built-in games. There's usually a few text editor windows hanging around from the most recent c++ or POV-Ray experiment that didn't go anywhere (this usually happens every two or three weeks). If it wasn't summer, there'd probably be some sort of university work, which generally waits in the background until everything else gets boring or the deadlines start sneaking up on me.

Mainly surfing the interwebs and talking to people through Trillian at this point. I use it to get alot of legal concerts too, and have amassed a rather large collection, but I've been slowing down on that. It's my media center, as I watch old Futurama/Venture Bros./Dilbert episodes to go to sleep each night.
I also occasionally do my shopping on it, but only for nonessential things like tea leaves and clothing.

why is it that whenever i post a thread here, it turns into something pornographic... like the nipple pinching, then i posted another thread and it turned into an extention of the nipple pinching! NOW THIS!
I guess i should've realized that asking people what they use their computer for would sometime turn into something about porn. you people... us people...
