Just finished reading
Iron Angel, by Alan Campbell ...
I take it you've read Scar Night as well, then? How does Iron Angel measure up in your estimation?

This semester I'm taking a class in early 20th century American literature.
So I'm reading Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Nathanael West, William Faulkner, etc.
Last week I finished The Sun Also Rises for the second time, and it might well be the best novel I've ever read. And just tonight I read West's Miss Lonelyhearts, which... I can't even talk about right now on account of the fact that I'm still upset from it. Both of these are brilliant books and I highly recommend them if you get the chance.

I frequently re-read books. J.D. Salinger's Franny and Zooey, F. Scott Fitzgerald's short stories and Lewis Carroll. I usually have one of these with me.

I frequently re-read books.
The more I read the more I realize that re-reading is almost essential. I often find it difficult to really grasp some of these dense, literate texts until I go through them a second time, better equipped for the details.

Also, do you realize that 20% of your posts are new threads?
You're not that interesting, yet.

Well currently I am reading Heaven's Net is Wide by Lian Hearn a prequel to the Otori Trilogy and this is the last one I need to read. The books can be described as Japanese Historical Fiction. They are fiction and some of the things are fantasy but it's also based on historical places, nations, people, traditions etc. The titles of all the books in the trilogy are composed of 5-7 syllables like Haiku.
