Yakoob's post in General Gaming regarding a game that he worked on being released made me wonder what the rest of you guys and gals do for living or if you're a student what are you studying etc.
Me, I'm a developer for what is primarily a web development company, although we seem to be moving into software development as well which I is what I have been doing for the last 4 months.

I spend my days weaning snippets of information out of TTLG about Kolya. This is done via a series of insidiously titled threads in conjunction with several trusted accomplices.
This is so we can track him down and steal his women.

I make ambitious plans and fail to execute, though I've booked a flight to Vancouver so I may explore my future career as a film producer. This year is my year to prepare for hollywood!

I'm retired. I was a battalion chief with fire department, have a life-time teaching certificate, owned and operated an underwater salvage company and a few other businesses.
I play guitar (badly) :p sing and write songs and have a regular gig. I record and produce CD albums and have a couple being sold internationally through itunes, Rhapsody and a few other such sites.
Being as you asked. :ebil:
I'm a young 72 and working on the next 72.

I used to be a Residential Social Worker but before that, I travelled a lot around the States, working various jobs, etc.
Then in my 30s, I decided I had enough of my rut, quit my job went back to university and did a BSc in Computing and Information Systems. I now pay my bills, rent, etc. as a technical support engineer...translation: general dog's body in IT.
It could be worse...

I was previously a back-room analyst for a niche insurance company, making good on my four or so years of education in statistics and mathematical disciplines, but it was painfully dull and sporadic work so I was on the cusp of leaving until a fortuitous resignation offered me a middle management role.
I'm now Assistant SME (Small to Medium Enterprises) Manager which involves understanding and underwriting our various insurance products that we offer to our niche market (trucks and heavy machinery in Australia and New Zealand). This job utilises a completely different skillset, customer-focus, process and task control for the company and branches, product knowledge and expertise, less numerate problem solving... skills that I actually enjoy using!

I masturbate guinea pigs for medical purposes while Ulukai watches. I'll let him clean after when he soils the broom handle again though.

Pretty much a standard corporate drone. Working towards a more fulfilling position though. We'll see how that turns out.
