This is an idea I had for a necro custom class character, because off all the schools of magic, Conjuration seems to be my favorite. plz post ur comments here.
Race: Nord
Specialization: Combat
Attribute #1: Endurance
Attribute #2: Intelligence
Birthsign: Atronach
Major Skills:
Conjuration
Spear
Med. Armor
Alteration
Acrobatics
Minor Skills:
Destruction
Athletics
Restoration
Mysticism
(Unsure-plz post suggestions)
Anyways, most ppl wonder what in the heck im doing with a combat specialized Nord. I have found, and this may not be the same for all ppl, that magic skills are really easy to raise. Thus, i took Nord (+ to med armor and spear) with combat skills. Also, I like the frost immunity/shock resistance. The first skill that i will max is Endurance. I hope to have tons and tons of life at high lvls. The second and third will be Intelligence and Willpower, followed my speed, and a smattering of luck. I am really unsure about the fifth major, and if anyone has any ideas, id really like that. thanks.

A: is there any reason you want spear over long blade or axe?? CAuse there are NO Good spears in the game.
B: Casters sux... best class is an all out melee, because anyone can dodge crap, and summoned shtuff is too easy to kill...

I have a necromancer as well and he is totally moppin the floor with everything he meets, i just stand there and laugh as my bonewalker, skeleton, and ancestor ghost gang bang the poor guys.
Breton/Sign of Apprentice
Main:
Conjuration
Mysticism
Destruction
Alteration
Minor
Illusion
Medium Armor
Alchemy
Restoration
Spear
If you play this right you'll be using the monsters in dungeons and destruction magic out in the open, the spear is worthless, i've done 9 levels and killed 1 rat with it so you can actually go with out any melee weapons at all if you choose it that way. Best is to go with Breton and apprentice due to the magic bonuses and the fact that the weakness of the apprentice is canceled out by the brenton's strength.

spear doesn't suck, I use it sometimes...keeps enemy from tagging you while you hit em...

I use spear all the time, and now that I've got the Glass Halberd and Ebony Spear, I wade through enemies like nothing :)

My favorite thing about the spear is that it's backed by Endurance, making that attribute easier to increase with level advancement.
Conjuration is defintely the most fun for me, too. In addition to the common summoning spells, I use a belt that conjures a Scamp, which I think would be especially cool for a necromancer theme.
You're the first poster I've read who sees the Nord as the best advantage, so I'd be interested to see how that works out for you.
Why acrobatics? I've always found that to be the easiest skill to raise. As a misc, it was surpassing my Major scores by level 4. (Maybe that's because I'm impatient and am always trying to jump over every little thing in my way.)
Just for the sake of the Necromancer theme, Mysticism, Conjuration, and Alchemy seem like the most appropriate magic skills to me.
