Any particular reason you don't get cable, Ania? TV reception bites, even living in the middle of the city where I am.

Location: middle of nowhere. 4 miles to nearest (tiny) retail outlet, 8 to nearest town. No cable. (No broadband either). I could get satellite, but, as a professional layabout, I cannot afford to pay for that AND for the TV licence (the latter may be a peculiarly British phenomenon; the money goes towards funding the lovely, advert-free BBC). There is a communal aerial in the village (of approx. a dozen houses), but the junction box for it is on the wrong side of the road, so cannot plug into that, either.
It's OK, though. I got used to it, after 2 and a half years in this place. And how many people can say that their house is surrounded by a graveyard? Goths of my acquaintance think it way cool.

Eek. I'm beginning to understand why you need to play Morrowind so much.
Ania on 17/1/2003 at 00:40
Yes. Well. Since I got off the pay-by-the-minute internet access and onto the flat monthly fee variety, I've noticed that I spend more time on the net than on games. It's mildly worrying.
But I do have a life. Honest. Having a car helps with that (there are no buses).

Yeah, I have a life as well... I like to call it Morrowind! :D

Striker, cunningly back on topic:

Go on then, let's see a picture of you... I mean, of your favourite Morrowind alter ego. That will give us all an excuse to post pictures of our characters. Again.

I'm going to try to post a pic of my character, when I get the damn screenshots sorted out.

Forsythe - I am SO glad to find another Sports Night fan. The DVD collection has been on my wish list forever, and someone finally bought it for me at Christmas, about 2 days before I was gonna buy it for myself.
God, I love that show.

Zaphod: Believe me, it's mutual; I was actually in a bit of shock when I saw it... it was one of those 'pinch me, I've got to be dreaming' things for me. (I'd been looking, and looking, and looking on the Internet and had found nothing even hinting that they'd made the DVD set; near as I can figure, it only came out 3-4 months ago, tops)
"How much do you love me?" "Alot less than I did before the Dr. Seuss comment" ;)
