Atmospheric Sound Effects 3.0: A must, but only if you have a fast machine
Giants 2.6:If you get bored by the couple of creatures on Vvardenfell, try this cause
there are dozens of critters in there

I like the Lilarcor plugin. I can't say that it is actually "essential" but it's really funny! (and annoying :cheeky: ) I'd urge any Baldur's Gate fans, or anyone who has ever wanted an "intelligent" talking sword, to go check this one out. It can be found over at Morrowind Summit.
I also like the Wilderness Mod with its accompanying Wilderness "Sounds" Mod by The Puma Man (also at Morrowind Summit). These mods add a lot of life to the landscape and make exploring a little more enjoyable. All the additional creatures look good and appropriately placed.
And finally, I'm a fan of any face mod, since I find the faces that shipped with Morrowind are saddly lacking:( RheddHeads are great and NPCreplace is essential. I also like Phaedric's Anime hair, to add a little spice!

No, Lilarcor has no ties with any other games before Morrowind.
However I find Lilarcor to be a very intelligent, decisive sword so I'll forgive them for their plagery.
I use the Lilarcor mod myself.

Yes, I think you could be right, Tuco - I see a resemblance;)

Originally said by Lilarcor I've been, uh, I've been thinkin' again. We have to design a new character class called "Insurance Salesman." We go around and we sell people insurance, and then we kill 'em! We, uh . . . . we, uh . . . well, then their family gets the money . . . I haven't quite worked that part out yet . . . " I love this mod!:joke:
(if you play with the captions on then "your" thoughts will be displayed at the bottom of the screen each time Lilarcor make another inane comment or suggestion - So, so funny!)
P.S. - Lilarcor on Nords:

P.P.S - For all you Thief fans out there, Lilarcor informs you that he was stolen by a sneaking guy with a mechanical eye who fenced him to a shipmaster. When the ship later sank in a storm, he washed ashore near Seyda Neen. Now who do we know who's sneaky and has a mechanical eye, eh?:cheeky:

Description:
Lilarcor +3 (the talking intelligent sword from Baldur's Gate II - Shadows of Amn) has somehow ended up in Morrowind......Mosey on over to Arrille's tradehouse in Seyda Neen and develop a love/hate relationship with a talking sword that doesn't know how to shut up. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but no one ever said he doesn't love his job....

A sneaky guy with a mechanical eye you say? I wonder who that can be??
I give this sword a go. Got a new Breton to try out.

Yeah:) When Lilarcor said that for the first time, my little brother almost fell out his computer chair. His shriek of "Oh my God!" really freaked out my mom. :laff: We're all diehard thief fans, so it was hilarious to hear that while walking through the swamps and ashlands of Morrowind with a sword taken straight from Baldur's Gate (which we also love to play).
Have fun with him! :cheeky:
(and if he get's too annoying, just toss him back into the ocean, for the next poor fool to discover;) )

Plugins I never play without, :D...
Morrowind advanced - Adds new creatures, armor, weapons, and a couple dungeons.
(
http://wormgod.8m.com/downloads.html) Wormgod's Site
Assassin's Armory - Adds lots of new parrying weapons, and other sets of weapons good for any character... lots of new short blades, parrying axes, katanas, swords, and more... Requires Tribunal.
(
http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/) Morrowind Summit
Scroll Icons by Erasmus - Changes scroll icons so that they have a picture of the effect they will do... definately alot better than those rolled up paper icons which are the same for every scroll.
(
http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/) Morrowind Summit
Rhedd's Heads - Includes new head and hair meshes to some races... much better looking than Bethseda's regular ones, :). Rhedd and Allerleirauh do really professional looking work, and I think they are working on Wood elf females next, but they are really busy and since this is just stuff they do in their free time, it might be a while.
