Awesome!
I think Krypt's at Treyarch, so it won't be him. Null said he was working on a sort of sequel to the Cradle about a year or so ago if my memory isn't playing tricks with me, but I'm not sure where he's working now. One of the others maybe?

Rujuro is still here (very occasionally), although I am now employed by Irrational and working on Bioshock, so my spare time is being devoted to that. I'd say Mount Vega is somewhere around the 60% finished mark. Unfortunately it will remain that way for quite a while to come. The entire level is blocked and playable beginning to end, several objectives are in place, main AI patrols and events are in, but there's still lots of polish, readables, conversations, etc. that I have planned.
Long story short, by the time I finish it, if anyone is still playing T3 missions they should all have a computer that can run it very smoothly.
.
it'll be rujuro for sure

Makes sense. I was expecting his would take longer, but maybe he found the time after all?

Nice skybox! I like how you managed to get away with not enclosing the space... that's always been a pet peeve of mine. "Yes, you can make outdoor spaces, but you have to put a wall around it so the skybox doesn't look weird!" Sucks. :p
So, yeah, great work. Nice moon too.

Thanks, having everything in silhouette helps! I'm not sure how I'll deal with the little bit of visible road beyond the gates yet.
And can I just state categorically that the moon and water reflection were absolutely not just copied and pasted straight from the docks map. :o

:cheeky: It's not plagiarism when you admit to it!
Would adding a black gradient to the road texture there help? So that it gradually fades from the road texture to a black texture. Might make it look like the light is magically ending there.
I tried this kind of setup briefly once (being able to see the skybox below the horizon), but on a mountaintop. Did not work. At all. :p
GlasWolf on 2/8/2006 at 17:31
What kind of black gradiant do you mean? A custom texture, or is there a way to overlay a gradient somehow?
Crispy on 3/8/2006 at 11:33
I mean a custom texture. As in, just Photoshop a transparent-to-black gradient over the top of the existing road texture.
GlasWolf on 4/8/2006 at 16:29
I think the lack of light might do that trick for me anyway, but I'll look into it...
