LOL.
Anyway, in these days I am working on the prisons of the North Quarter station, with the annexed torture chambers, it seems funny :ebil:

The inventory numbers have no (positive effect) on the property storage count. And basically nothing to do with it except for the fact that everything takes properties. How big is your PSC? Do you already have a working GL-ready version of it?

What is a PSC? And what you mean for a GL-ready version??

Yeah, but that isn't a weapon store, it's the City Watch main district armory. And it's very well guarded. It's near impossible entering there.
Mhm, but I think the armory should be unable to enter. Just make a window with bars to allow the player to behold all the weapons, but seal the door totaly shut...I think the armory is an interresting idea but mostly as a design thing, not an actuall gear up-room :) But than again, your map looks awesome and i long to when I will reach that standards

Ten torches in one scene...interesting.
Is that a problem or do you mean it only is...interresting :ebil:? Is it because the flickering light? :erm:

No, it's because of the performance woes. Lightning consumes a lot of CPU power, even if you increase the light limit. As for now, more than 8 lights per scene in a fully-fledged FM usually requires 2.8 GHz processor or better.

If that is true, then massimilianogoi better rearrange the tourches, because my PC is not so tough (Cempron 1.81 GHz, 512 RAM, GeForce 6600). It starts to lag on open areas like in the beggining of "Blue Rose" by Savar or in the open areas in "Valley" by Flux.
I know I have to buy a new PC, but I am waiting for Thief 4, so that I can fulfil the requirenments for playing it. And the PCs will get cheaper in future. :p

So it is the CPU that sets the limits? I thought it was the engine and GPU...and I believe most gamers today have a better CPU than 2,8 GHz...I bought a 3 GHz Dual Core almost two years ago and it's still going strong...

To some extent it is a GPU and engine, of course. I remember testing my Cabal pt. III FM with GF 9800 GTX and C2D 1.8 GHz, and there were some spots where the framerate dropped to 30 fps. After I upgraded my rig to 2.8 GHz CPU the problem was gone. Still, I'd strongly advise to build your FMs with slower PC's in mind. After all, it's not funny when you're the only person being able to play your FM :)

True true.
