NEW MEGATHREAD TIME, BOYS AND GIRLS!!!
TODAY I PLAYED*:
Alien: Isolation - that game where you get to wear the front of your face on the back of your head after you've been force-kissed by a set of pneumatic mandibles. (x57 times per level)
Batman: Arkham Knight - the game that features a car that smashes through pillars like they're made out of papier mâché, and a car that crashes through your PC like it's also made out of papier mâché.
Ryse: Son of Rome - that game where the Brits all sound like they're from West Country, the Romans sound vaguely like they all went to public school, the lead character looks like Sylvester Stallone with a pilum up his ass, and there's so much clanging metal going on that Megadeth would be proud. Also it looks gorgeous while featuring exactly one required combo (X-Y-X) followed up with a murderous version of Simon Says - for 8 hours straight. Exciting!
Life Is Strange - the game with the great soundtrack and teenagers being totally unselfconscious jerks to each other - you know, like actual teenagers - and little emotional vignettes in search of an over-arching theme that hopefully resolves some time around episode 3-5 or before I actually do something to these little shits I'll regret.
The Cha-Cha-kat Revenge Trilogy - the other game series about a feline dancing master donning a mask, a hauberk, three ninja swords and a trishula while making her bloodspattered way through Triad bosses and the Yakuza like a whirling dervish with a skirt made of knives while also occasionally causing death by fatal yoga positioning. Features more implied racism ('Don't ask me to do the foxtrot, bitch!'), terrible pick-up lines ('Baby, you put the purr in "Persian"'), and incomprehensible gameplay with no rules except for needing to bite people when they least expect it, but it does have six directional keys and three use buttons to make up for it.
Special Bonus: Steam IdleMaster - because who the fuck is going to actually play games to get card drops.
*This is a lie, because today would have to have been exactly 76.345 hours long, give or take another 80, and that won't even happen until the winter equinox comes around##, so you can't trust a single word I've said.
##On freaking Pluto.

Wait, why are we abandoning the other thread?
And obviously the answer is Fallout 4.

No particular motivation, If I'm being honest. It's more than a bit unwieldy now considering it was started a while ago, but that is the nature of all megathreads. I was thinking maybe we should do yearly megathreads going forward, just for the sake of chronology and neatness.
The real reason, of course, is that it was created by a gentleman who ABANDONED US ALL, and I haven't. Yet. But if you don't bring Koki back, I just might!

On the Penny Arcade Forums (yes, I'm a forum philanderer), they retire threads once they get to page 100. Not sure if that's in any way connected to their forum software, but it works pretty well; getting a new thread and a new original post always tends to energise the discussion, though it's pretty lively to begin with.
On a different note: has anyone here been playing Telltale's Game of Thrones games? How do they compare to Telltale's other games? My impression has been that there's been less excitement than about The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us and surprise success Tales from the Borderlands - though I don't know whether that's due to the games, or if it's more a general case of Telltale and/or GoT fatigue.

Haven't been playing anything in at least a year. Last thing i played was the elder scrolls the oblivion, and left for dead 2. I long for those days where I had time to play for hours... But they are long gone. :")

Had some friends convince me to buy 7 Days to Die so I could play with them.
I had instant buyers remorse the second I turned it on. Then I played for a few more hours with them and I'm ready to set up my own dedicated server for us as soon as Alpha 13 comes out sometime this month. (it actually is pretty fun with friends)
Honestly, it's less of a fun game itself, so much as I like the building and survivalism, and it's the only way I can hang out with my mates every now and then, since we're all in Grad school in different cities.

I vote for yearly megathreads or a cap on pages before lockdown. Thank you Sulphs for birthing a new one. I propose we poke the mods/admins for closure of the old one and let it gather dust for all eternity.
Onward, ho bitches!
Currently Playing:
Kirby's Mass Attack (DS) - I'm currently visiting Mexico for one week for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, so I brought along the one game, and Kirby rarely lets me down. <3

Currently replaying System Shock, the enhanced version thats on steam. Not having played it since first came out it is actually still really good, few clunky interface issues but overall still has the tension I remember from first playing it.
