If you didnt finish A Short Hike you dont get the best bit of the game, the final flight. It is quite something and made me feel.

I did get to the top, and then I didn't quite realize what was happening, and I dive-bombed back to the beach in like 3 seconds. My fault, I guess. What I meant, though, is that I didn't try to get all the feathers or win all the races or catch all the fish.

Loving AC: Syndicate so far.
The combat and parkour are a step down from Unity, but the setting and characters are really likeable and the missions are a LOT more interesting vs Unity.

Here are the ones that stand out in memory since I last posted.
Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker is an exercise in self-restraint, with tiny puzzle-box levels and a very short list of possible actions. However, this allows one's mind to readily encompass the entirety of a level, which is a rare pleasure in gaming.
I also got this on sale, and I agree with you. I love that each level has its own self-contained theme, and the touch of surrealness in their details.
I also started
Death Stranding because I watched Tim Rogers talk about it, and he called it "the most Hideo Kojima game he's ever made." Going into with that attitude, I'm enjoying the absurdity of it all rather than balking at it. Rogers also called it "the Gran Turismo of walking simulators," which is apt. I had a very exciting time shifting my weight left and ride as I tried to walk a short distance to the waystation, with a comical amount of cargo on my back (much of it unsalvageable).

I was in the mood for some Star Wars action, so I thought that I'd give
SW: Battlefront 2 a try. It took a while to just download and install, but the loading times... dear lord... they're just ridiculous. I haven't experienced anything like this since the 1980's when I loaded games from a cassette tape on our good old Amstrad.
So yeah, installing Battlefront 2 on HDD instead of SSD was probably a mistake, but there's no reason at all for this game to run so slowly. :erg: I played the first mission for a while and it seemed fun, but as soon as the game decides that it wants to load something, it just gets unplayable. So I uninstalled it and I'll give it another chance some time later when I can be bothered.
Oh well, I went back to playing (

I really think Kojima hit it out of the park with Death Stranding. I loved the absurdity of it all. I read about a rumor today that some additional content is on the way, so I hope that's enough reason for me to go back to it at some point because I want more.

Yeah, it's a treat. It's also good to see a major developer putting out mid-price games of modest complexity. The blockbuster-driven approach of most big studios seems like a recipe for disaster.
As of late, I've been obsessed with finding geometric representations of weird groups of small order, leaving not much time and energy for games. I have, however, started up
Spiritfarer, which seems absolutely lovely so far. The gist of the game is that you're responsible for helping lost souls come to peace with their deaths and move on, and you do so by spoiling them rotten. The animation style is top-notch (and
consummately furry), with character details conveyed by the animation; for instance, an overly-conscientious snake who tries her best to wear human clothing and make human gestures, even though the results are absurd. I'm still early in the game, so I'll have more to say about it later.

Halo 2: Anniversary done. Felt more in control during the second half of the game, so I started to have more fun. The difficulty was well-balanced, no section was too frustrating.
Still, I find that after a workday I'd like to play less intense games than this to relax my mind, so I'm not moving on to Halo 3 for the time being.

I don't know who's in the market for a charming and chill lo-fi train driver game that's playable in-browser, but here: (
