That would certainly make sense, giving how alike the worlds feel.

Who did you have to kill to get a GPU? And Sleeping Dogs is awesome, I'm assuming you're playing the Definitive Edition?
I bought a prebuilt system (~1700€ because I also wanted Win10 Pro) from a local PC store, they still have several in stock.

I'm late to the ham punching, but another (Jiddish/German) word for Dorf is Kaff. So I'm throwing in a contender: Kaff Freude

After finishing my replay of Disco Elysium (and, again, greatly enjoying it), I thought I'd get started on Nier: Automata. I got to the first big boss (not the tutorialish one), got stuck in the wrong place and died, i.e. I'd wasted those 40 minutes. I'll try again, but if the game is as stingy with save spots beyond this boss and clearly doesn't respect my time, I may postpone playing this one indefinitely. A lot of what I've read about Nier: Automata sounds fascinating, but I'm not particularly willing to put up with a game where I may have no choice but to lose three quarters of an hour of progress if I slip up.

In December last year, through to February, I knocked back GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA 4 (plus both DLC), and most of GTA 5. It's a weird feeling to get through all that history so quickly. When I got to GTA 5 - which I was looking forward to - it was a surprise how terrible the driving mechanics are. I never noticed it before, but in comparison to 4 which had lots of variety in feel, 5 makes everything feel homogenous, with Crazy Taxi style steering.
I've also been completely engrossed in flight sims at the moment while waiting for the DCS Hind. I've been playing a bunch of Il-2 and the dogfighting is so bonkers difficult for me, but it has that same, moreish one-more-try feeling that I get from Stalker games.

Yes GTA5's driving mechanics were one of its lesser features. Kind of strange for a game that had so much ridiculously high quality content put into it.
But for the record there are mods that make the driving much better, including realistic physics. The game really shines with the modding & online modding (roleplaying) scene. With that, it can be practically any game you want it to be.

Cool. I'll definitely look into that. I played all of GTA 4 with the first-person mod and it was a great time.

I'm not giving up on Heaven's Vault yet, but so far I'm not feeling it. There are lots of ingredients that I find fascinating, but they're not yet coming together in a way that I enjoy. Perhaps the two biggest offenders are the conversation system and the movement system(s), and the way they interact; for instance, I'm finding it genuinely grating to be navigating in my ship, something I barely feel in control of at times, while also being asked to pick undefined dialogue options where I have no clue what I'll say, so I'm basically just picking a random "More on this topic" option. Seeing how some reviewers *loved* Heaven's Vault, I'm a bit surprised by how hard I'm finding it to get into.

It stays pretty much the same throughout, so, if you don't like it now, you probably won't like it later either, unless you think it's worth it for the parts you do like. Personally, I loved it, and thought it was well worth putting up with a few quirks. One thing I liked less, though, was not being able to save at will. I do understand the point of it and appreciate it to some degree, but it also makes it a lot harder exploring all the different routes and bonus content, since you'd have to start from the very beginning for each new route you want to explore. Back when I was actively playing, I played through it twice, but haven't touched it since, although there are still things I would like to experience. Getting a certain route can also be a bit specific.
Had I had any say in it, I would have suggested enabling free saving after having finished the game once to sort of get the best out of two worlds (but still make it optional).
Edit:
I remember having a few other wishes as well, but I think I've already written about that in an earlier post.

Heaven's Vault sounds like a game I would absolutely love... but only if I was in the exact right mood for it. Kinda like all the Zachtronics games (Spacechem, TIS-100, etc). The mood is one where I'm both willing and able to learn a new skill for just one game, and such times are vanishingly rare right now.
Ring Fit Adventure keeps on giving. In the last world, one of the subvillains became enraged when she heard from an infallible oracle that someone else had a superior ass. I'm not kidding. In the current world, the bara dragon told a small child that lying would make his muscles grow. That's it, that's this world's plot.
My
Avernum party, exiled into the underworld for lesbianism, has so far been driven by the desire to learn more magic. However, they've learned all they can from Avernum's lesser mages, and must now travel to the Tower of Magi if they want further instruction. After nearly dying on the way there, they must regroup and figure out a better plan. The underground seas beckon, and a boat may be purchased for merely 250 gp.
In
Dragon Quest Builders, I have been doing something, um, meditative. Yeah, let's call it that. Screenshots someday.
And... I relapsed. I started playing another (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150377) incremental game,
FE000000. Here's a (
https://dan-simon.github.io/misc/fe000000/) link. It belongs to the subgenre spawned by (
https://ivark.github.io/) Antimatter Dimensions, but is much better balanced than its daddy. However! This games ends. As opposed to, yes, the incremental games that do not end, like (
https://trimps.github.io/) Trimps. So that makes it okay.
