Ham jokes aside, I've been playing Death of the Outsider again.
And I reckon that mechanically, this might be the best Dishonored game. It strips out the morality system and doesn't punish me for using the tools at my disposal, meaning that I'm much more likely to continue playing when spotted instead of immediately hammering the quickload button. Sure, there are contracts that may require a traditional ghost approach, but those conditions are limited to that particular contract, and not the whole level or indeed, playthrough.
Even though it's one of my favourite franchises of the past ten years, I feel that previous Dishonored games did themselves a disservice by giving me lots of cool toys to play with, but then punishing me for using them.
Map-wise, I don't think there's anything that comes near the level of quality of the Clockwork Mansion or Stilton's Manor. The Bank gets close, but a lot of that's to do with how cool bank jobs generally are in immersive sims.
Still, it's an incredible expansion, and story-wise, probably better than the mainline narrative.

Started playing Detroit: Become Human. Despite the frequent crashing and atrocious camera vs which way you think you need to push to move that direction fuckery, it's pretty cool.

I'm amazed at how different my second playthrough of Disco Elysium is going, even though I don't think I'm playing my character all that differently from the first time. The thing that's changed most is that I don't do things in the same sequence - but this already, combined with the different results of key dice rolls, has completely changed the speed at which the main investigation progresses, and that in turn changes the context of so many of the conversations I'm having. In my first playthrough, I didn't get the corpse down before the fourth or fifth day, while this time I succeeded on my first day and then put him in cold storage overnight, which had a major impact on what follows.

I should play that Disco Elysium at some point.
Anyway, I'm playing Remnant: From The Ashes. Soulslike looter-shooter with kinda a cheap TLOU-knockoff-ambiance. It's by Chronos-devs Gunfire Games so it also feels quite Chronos-ish. Anyone else play this? It was one of last month's PS+ games. Story is so-so, combat-gameplay feels good, the world-design feels kinda empty and cheap with plenty of copy-pasting. It's... fine. I'm kinda enjoying it.
Also gotten really into Wreckfest multiplayer lately.

I was looking for a game that I can just play on and off and where it's no problem if I leave it for a week or more. Decided to go with Serious Sam HD: First Encounter. No story to speak of, so no story/immersion factor to lose track of when I don't play for a while. I tend to gravitate towards movies/shows and books nowadays, but sometimes I want to game for like an hour here and there. Playing on Normal because I don't want too much frustration.

Got a new PC last week (RTX 3060/Ryzen 5600X), so I'm doing the "Reinstall everything, play old stuff on higher settings than before" thing. Partially because I want to see the games at their best and partially because it did dig into my bank account, so I decided to not get new games for a while to let my emergency stash recover.
I just reinstalled Sleeping Dogs yesterday and having everything on max and still getting solid 60fps (monitor cap) is an improvement. The gameplay is still as good as I remember, so I'll probably complete it one more time.
Last week I played a bit of DX:Manky on as high settings as possible (nuking the stuff I hate like DoF and Motion Blur) and it also runs great. I never did finish it the first time around, so I guess I'll complete it this time.

Who did you have to kill to get a GPU? And Sleeping Dogs is awesome, I'm assuming you're playing the Definitive Edition?

Aren't
Remnant and
Chronos connected and the former is a sequel of some sort? I thought I'd read that the two take place in the same world, though I've not played
Remnant.
