SIN was great but they probably should gone down the humor and edginess. The original game had a lot of outdated stylistic elements designed to the kind of teenager who plays Warhammer (back when it was really edgy). Unfortunately that kind of “edgy for the sake of it” humor is problematic in 2020 and the game should be updated to reflect progress
Is this some weak attempt at trolling? I don't read these forums enough to know this guy's personality.

Erm do you know what's IN that game?
Go to about 3:50 because I am NOT posting screenshots here. It's like straight out of a porno.

Earlier this year I finished AC: Origins, and loved it. Decided to jump into one of the older AC titles I have on uplay from various free promotions, and I chose Assassin's Creed 3, mainly because the main character is a native, and that's a topic I'm interested in these days. It seems it's not really in the focus though, and the game is more about the events of the revolution, but it was still a nice idea, and I like how the native characters speak their own language. I really like the story so far (I'm about halfway through). The lead-up with Haytham was a really cool idea. Pretty much all of my complaints are mechanical, and mostly related to the controls. It's just janky all around. It has that thing that I remember from old AC games where the character jumps in a totally different direction than the one you pressed, or trying to sprint through alleys but instead Connor attempts to climb random objects in the way. It can be annoying but when things work, it's really fun, and all in all, I'm liking the game.

Fictional woman in a bikini? OMFG, won't somebody think of the children?!
Today's highly vocal leftists are no different than church ladies of the 1990s. Neither group should have cultural power, they're all censorious moral busybodies that rely upon appeals to emotion to get their way. At this point a scenario like the Helios ending of Deus Ex would be more appealing. At least a self-aware machine being in charge of society would probably be logically consistent.

Oh, wow, Eva actually fell for it. But I guess this kind of cycle of cosplaying/inventing SJWs and then reacting to them is part of what has been keeping the reactionary circle-jerk going so far.
Anyway, I've been playing Our Darker Purpose, a BoI-inspired roguelite with a British boarding school theme. Kind of feels like a cheaper knock-off, to be honest. The hit boxes feel iffy and the skill progression doesn't feel nearly as satisfying, as it lacks BoI's sheer amount of randomness making every run amazingly unpredictable and full of surprises (for better or worse). That said, though, it's not without its charm, especially as the theme is concerned. It has a certain sense of British humour and the compulsory reading literature references on the skills alone make me smile. Or perhaps I'm just easily entertained.

I've been playing some Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2, but just as with the Tony Hawk demo way back when, I suck at the game. Are there any skating cracks out there than can help me with a few tips? Are there any particular techniques that I should focus on practicing first? I think that one of the main problems I have is that I am pretty random in terms of what tricks to do when and in what sequence.

Tony, your little attempt to trick the rubes into thinking you're a super woke progressive radicalist is blatantly transparent, and more than a little pathetic.
For our sake and yours, please, for the love of all that is good and holy, shut the fuck up. Save the rest of us our brain cells.

Desperados 3 - I'm like 8 missions in. It's not grabbing me like Shadow Tactics did. Eh, let's see where it goes.
Yeah, it doesn't have the interesting story/setting that Shadow Tactics had.
It's altogether very solid, but lacks a bit of ... something. I don't know.
It's also a pile of Western cliches - as a Desperados sequel had to be.
Me, I've been playing a game that involves a group of people spending most of their time in a shelter to keep themselves distant from the diseased people outside, only venturing out in small groups to gather essential supplies like toilet paper and jars of mayonnaise.
Diseased folks are a problem, but a much larger threat are the cut-throat looters who will ambush you and try to murder you for your pasta.
No, it's not the last few months of real life, but instead Dead State - Brian Mitsoda's zombie RPG from 2014.
It just seemed so very fitting to play in 2020.
There's even a redneck survivalist character who's convinced that the disease was created by the Chinese as a bioweapon to destroy America.
The game has some problems, namely that it gets a bit tedious after a while, which is why I never managed to finish it the last time I played it.
There are a number of upgrades that you can build at your shelter, but about halfway through the game's duration, you generally have them all built, have enough supplies to last you for ages, and all your survivors have nothing much to do with their time. It just becomes a matter of spending the remaining days looking in every single location for loot and extra survivors.
Another incredibly annoying thing is that when you are in the (turn-based) combat, every enemy on the map gets to take a turn for at least 1 second, even zombies on the other side of the map who are not currently active. It means that the enemy turns can take
forever on larger maps with 30+ zombies on them.

Having finished The Last of Us 2, I should now get back to Mass Effect: Andromeda. I did briefly launch the game last night and was glad to find that my fingers still remember most of the controls - which isn't a given, since I find the controls and user interface less than intuitive. The drop in sheer quality and craftsmanship is immense (of course it's also a different type of game), but after the draining journeys of TLOU2 I have to say I'm not unhappy to get back to a game where I don't particularly care one way or another what happens.
