It's okay? It goes full magical alternate reality and you get spirit powers that represent aspects of eagles and bears and the like. It's pretty short so I'd give it a shot, as it turns the gameplay on its head.
Thanks, I'll be sure to give it a try then.

Thirith I really enjoyed Andromeda, at first i thought it was a bit naff but once it opens up I would consider it my fave of the whole ME series, purely on the virtual tourism and exploration level. There are some frustating gameplay elements I will admit though.

Sorry PigLick, but Andromeda is just, in the end, mediocre. It's not very well thought through, but there are individual elements that are enjoyable. I'm just not sure it's worth fighting through all the crusty grind of it to mine a grain of entertainment from it.
It's pretty, though. I think I spammed enough screenshots in the thread about it to make that point.

SORRY SULPHUR (not sorry btw), but Andromeda was great. My second fave ME game after the first one. It was good because it had a space truck in it and you could drive around on the planets with it YOU SEE. ME1 also had a space truck but it wasnt as good as the one in Andromeda.

SORRY HENKE but I'd rather bouncity bounce the Mako off a poorly drawn planet heightmap and glitch through the bottom of the world and somehow turn up next to the area I was headed to anyway than right click-probe entire deserts for resources while I feel my will to live being sapped by the banality of not even having a Dune-style sandworm crest a dune (dun dun!) while the game scrolled off an eternity of tidally locked sameness into the horizon.
Fuck pretty open worlds with nothing meaningful in them but sudoku puzzles and throwaway lines. Jesus.

Aww, did you miss the (

I guess I did. Must've confused them for the Remnant architects, which was a decent idea once, but by the third time I'd checked out mentally.

Haven't played much in around a year (finished Shadow Warrior 2, which was fun, can't remember if I posted it here) but I've been dinking around a bit in Murdered Soul Suspect. It's....kinda shit. It's basically 'wander around annoying environments and click on things' and then it throws up puzzles that are so simple it actually makes them harder. For instance, it will say "what would jog so and so's memory about the murder?" and you have a bunch of related info but the one it wants is literally called "THE MURDER". So I keep actually spending time thinking about the questions when the game goes out of its way to punish thinking about them. Weird shit.

I've been plowing thru a lot more games lately, for obvious reasons. Trying for the most part to get through my sizable backlog:
Slender The Arrival - This game just unnerves the hell out of me. It's pretty good at setting up an uncomfortable atmosphere and it's not all jump scares. Oftentimes it has that low budget, cheesy feel though.
Outlast - I've started this game at least 3 times now without finishing, so I'm vowing to get through it on this run. I dig horror games that are heavy on stealth elements, like Alien Isolation and SOMA, and this is in that same vein (so far).
Wolfenstein The New Order - What better way to take out your current frustrations than killing Nazis. I was happy (and surprised) to see there's actually some OK stealth available here too. Not as happy with the scripted sequences and very linear path you have to take, but it's not too bad.
I also burned an old Best Buy gift certificate I had lying around on Death Stranding, so I'll be picking that up from my local store today as well.
