You're right, I could probably play Indy already - but I've got a couple of other games going at the moment, so I'm happy to wait for a month or two with the current games.
With respect to Sovereign Syndicate: while there are some clear (if superficial) similarities to Disco Elysium, I'm finding myself reminded more of Planescape Torment in some respects. The characters you play, the feel of the steampunk/fantasy city. It's still a relatively superficial comparison: both Disco Elysium and Planescape Torment have worlds densely packed with characters and stories, and that's not there (yet) with Sovereign Syndicate, but it's an RPG that's clearly drawing inspiration from the right games, as far as I'm concerned.

You can probably play the Indy game on max with your current PC (not the path-traced full RT, though), because it's actually well-optimised; though Malf's basically said that already, I guess.
Bear in mind, my system's pretty high-end, being a 7900X3D with 32GB of RAM and a 24GB RTX4090, and I'm running at 2560x1440, not 4K.
To be honest, I'd be alarmed if it
didn't run well.
However, the game's also running on Machinegames' version of idTech, and that's always pretty damn stable and scalable. I'm quite surprised that they're making RT required for this. But I suppose it did allow them to focus on one lighting pipeline instead of two.
What I will say is that some NPC faces can look like they're moulded out of plasticene, and hair is not the best I've seen (especially coming off the back of Veilguard, where their hair is particularly good), with the cats in the Vatican level being a particular eyesore.
But on the other hand, I've not seen
any of the typical RT ghosting artifacts that still plague games like Control and even Cyberpunk.

Yeah I'm playing Indy too, it's great! Tho one thing that does feel quite un-Indy is the leisurely pace caused by the numerous optional side-quests you can take on. In the movies Indy is always propelled forward in pursuit of his current Main Quest, but here he'll run into some random person and be like "yeah sure I'll look for your missing assistant, I got nothing but time on my hands" or "need me to 15 medicine bottles? On it!" From a gameplay perspective, these sidequests work well and are fun, but don't feel very Indy. Also, while I'm complaining about things, not a fan of the frequent switches to 3rd person. Overall tho, great game.

:D
I'll post pics when I get home so youse lot can see what I'm talking about.
There's one ginger cat in particular which is just eurgh, and before I switched from DLSS to TLAA, even Indy's hair, both on his head, and more disturbingly, on the backs of his hands, looked like it was rendering fullbright.

It's not a great priest or cat. I'd also love to play Indy but my graphics card isn't supported and the PS5 release is supposedly a quarter or two away. I keep thinking, "Maybe it's time to buy an Xbox?" before reprimanding myself: "NO! You don't need more video games." Consoles, anyway.
Meanwhile I bought and completed
Anthology of the Killer based on Jeremy Jayne of NoClip's recommendation. It's a collection of nine short surreal horror comedy games released over the last few years about a girl named BB who lives in a city where murder has permeated all aspects of society. Serial killers roam the streets, businesses hawk knives and coffins, movie posters advertise movies like "Old Corpse" and "The Stabber," and the popular music genre "crime wave" is flourishing.
BB is a precocious zine writer who reports on weird happenings, spending her spare time exploring the city's freakish sprawling dreamscapes and getting chased by its murderous inhabitants. Each episode follows a bit of a formula. BB's getting ready to do something -- go to work, take the bus, do her time in mandatory immersive theatre -- something goes wrong, BB runs away from the killer and miraculously escapes. The gameplay is mostly just walking around reading text prompts, but the writing is absurdly good. I'm talking Kentucky Route Zero territory. It's also hilarious, and the balance between comedy and horror is about perfect. Graphically it's a strange mashup of 2D 90s doodle art and really basic Unity 3D.
The strange thing about Anthology of the Killer that I'm having trouble putting into words is, for a game about violence and death, how good it made it me feel. I nestled into bed each night, savoured a chapter, and slept soundly afterward. When I finished every chapter, I only wanted to replay them and get that feeling back. Have you ever had a dream that sounds like a nightmare when you describe it but was inexplicably relaxing and serene? That's this game. This image kind of sums it up, but not completely.

https://i.imgur.com/fFJdn2L.jpegAnyway, I highly recommend it for the weirdos out here, maybe more than anything else I've recommended this year. The first episode is probably the weakest, so if you're on the fence, stick with it. It's also only nine bucks, so you don't have much to lose!

I can believe it! I've played some of thecatamites earlier games and the writing is very strange and funny.
Didn't mention it earlier but I played through Lorn's Lure over the weekend. A mostly great game. The platforming and exploration are great and it keeps innovating and throwing new challenges at you. Once you get the air-dash it turns into straight up Celeste 3D. BUT, the final level is annoying as heck. Left me with a bitter taste. There's an easier exploration mode, and if you decide to play it, perhaps enable that for the finale. You'll have a better time than I did.

New StealthGamerBR just dropped!

This is how I learn that there's a GRAB button in the game!? So you can stealth takedown enemies WITHOUT needing a melee weapon? And I've just been making it harder for myself all along by first having to search around for something to whack a Nazi with to do a takedown!?!? Even so, as Malf said, it's a quite easy game. I'm just playing on Hard, the second hardest difficulty. It was 12 hours into the game before I had to fire a gun for the first time.

Intravenous 2, great Stealth game.
Played some VR game, Until You Fall. 4.7 on the meta store, which is amongst the highest rated games. Lots of "best VR game!" Ugh, i can't fucking stand these boring, uninspired whack-a-mole games. I like VR less and less, which is unfortunate.
Interested in the Indy game, will not play until i get a 5090 next year though.
