Oh, I forgot about Legendary Tales, if you have access to SteamVR. I'm at the end after about 30 hours, so it's a lot more substantial than a typical VR game. Good cross between Diablo and Dark Souls (although very small dev team, so keep your expectations in check), with fun physics-based sword and shield combat. I played a parry build with buckler and dagger, but I'm eager to try it again with a different build.

Just to add to Thirith's note about wirelessly connecting your headset to your PC: You're probably best off trying it with a 5Ghz or Wifi 6 capable router, and if possible, make sure your PC is connected to Wifi access point via 1Gb Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6).
I just note it because I know that not everyone has that level of Wifi yet.

I've played the occasional thing without connecting my PC to the router via Ethernet, and depending on your setup it can work reasonably well, but it won't have the smoothness and responsiveness that really gives you that sense of immersion IMO. Even though I have to drag an Ethernet cable through the entire flat when I want to play PCVR, it's definitely worth the hassle.

I wishlisted:
- Lone Echo
- Boneworks
- Ultrawings
I'll look into Flat2VR stuff!

@Komag - I mentioned this somewhere in the VR thread, but if you don't have a Wifi 6 router, and/or your router is not close to where you'll be playing, (

That's a neat device, and it's basically what I'm doing with my second router.

Hopped back into playing some Thronefall after not playing it since mostly exhausting the initial early access content. It's come on a long way and is still just the best bitesize strategy game.

I'm done with Tunic. Got the bad ending and I wasn't having it, so I had to look for a tip for how to find the last missing manual page. It turned out to be a bit more complicated than I expected...
In theory the manual is the best idea in gaming for a long time, and I love the feeling of mystery in the game. The thing is, everything in Tunic is a mystery, and at some point I noticed that it started getting a bit tedious. You really have to be a real-life Sherlock Holmes if you want to figure out all the puzzles in the game by yourself. I'm sure that the feeling of accomplishment would be awesome, but as much as I like Tunic, I'm not going to devote my whole life to it. :p
I think I loved Tunic. It's the most unique game that I've played for a long time, and certainly worth at least checking out.

I'm struggling a little bit with Outer Wilds. I've heard so much about this game, especially from folks here, I assumed it would be great. I like the idea of traveling planet to planet, investigating clues, learning the lore, etc. That part seems great. But I'm really hating the mechanics, navigating the ship, all the platforming, etc. It's seriously painful at the moment. And if I fall into that black hole one more time and get chucked across to the other side of the solar system, I might rip my eyes out. I don't get how the player has no recourse when something like this happens, especially when it's so easy to do. I would definitely have quit this game awhile ago if not for the reputation is has. I'm sticking with it for now, but my patience is wearing thin. Someone talk me off the ledge.

It's a fair criticism. Everything that needs to be done in this game can be done in less than 22 minutes, so if you fall into a black hole, it just means your run is over (or not; you could always try exploring around there). In other words, you never lose much. If you talk to Gabbro a few times, you can unlock the ability to meditate, which basically just restarts the run for you, which might be helpful if you make a big mistake. But for me, at least, the experience of getting thrown across the solar system into empty space evoked a sense of fear and sublimeness that practically no other game does, and that's why I love it so much. Outer Wilds is about feeling small against an infinite, unyielding universe. Dying and making mistakes is a big part of that. It never really frustrated me until the expansion although I'm glad I stuck with it because there are also many moments of the joy and wonder of discovery. But maybe the game just isn't for you!
