Woke up, saw the sun shining and put up (

If you own just one The Who album, this' the one you want to have. In fact it's way better than any of their studio albums which always sounded kinda overstylised and cold to me. This live album on the other hand captures
raw power in every track.

while I dont particularly like John Mayers music, I gotta stand up for him here and say he is actually quite an accomplished blues guitarist, I mean the guy can PLAY.

Agreed. Everytime he's on PBS he always does a song or two that's nothing but an extended solo, and it always rocks. And the girls always love it anyway.

you see, thats what is wrong with the world these days, not enough extended solos

Absolutely agree, the tracks on Leeds sizzle. It's almost like the band was on the verge of exploding, but managed to rein in the chaos and direct it into ever-escalating awesomeness, especially with the longer jams.
I liked their studio albums as well, don't really recall any of them sounding 'cold' as such, Moon's drums and Pete's guitar blistered skin on most everything until Moonie died (bless his sozzled soul) after 'Who Are You'.
