The commentary for the Firefly episode "Shindig". Who had the bright idea to get the actress Morena who did Inara, the writer, and the COSTUME DESIGNER. What a boring combination.

Henke - new Nick Cave is growing on me, it sounds a bit more like his more gnarly stuff when he was with The Birthday Party, but kinda more contained. I suppose its like the older Bad Seeds stuff with more distortion and less murder. I'd have a listen if you can, you'd probably like it if you like Nick Cave.
Nah, nothing since Yes, Virginia that I know of. It'd be nice if there was!
I'm looking forward to getting Orphans for christmas, I couldn't bring myself to spend £25 on it when it came out. I'm still working my way through his back catelogue, so I can wait.

Pandora is playing Mama's Boy Blues by Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks. It sounds like it would be entirely out of place within the past few decades but apparently it was recorded in 2001 with a reformation of the old group that had formed in 1968. Another Pandora song I was shocked to find out was recorded as late as 2004 is Well Heeled Man by Josephine Foster & The Supposed although that at least sounds like it could have been recorded back in the hippie era.
Now it's a live recording of Catholic Boy by the Dead Boys. I heard the lead singer of Blondie once ate some chili at CBGBs despite being told all of them had splooged in it, saying "I've had worse in my mouth". I find it odd that I like both Rocket From the Tombs and the Dead Boys but have no fondness for Pere Ubu or Stiv Bators' solo work.

Aww, I like the murder.
Still, I got their whole backcatalogue to work through yet so I'm in no rush to get the new stuff. Think I'll go for Tender Prey or Murder Ballads next.
