Steve Reich's Different Trains (Kronos Quartet) and Electric Counterpoint (Pat Metheny). I'm gonna play Electric Counterpoint at some point (hopefully this year) so it's a matter of research.
But Different Trains is actually better in some ways, it features recordings of voices and other sounds and the instruments imitate the natural rhythm and melody of the recordings, in Reich's typical minimalist style. But I'm no string quartet and not a tape player either so the only chance I'd ever get to perform this is pressing the PLAY button at the start.

the sound of construction workers shooting nails into wood and HOLY SHIT! less than 5 minutes ago I looked outside and there was a building frame with some insulation, NOW there's finished walls and a little window!
