What's the thing that all these survival sims and walking simulators are missing? Snowmobiles and pickup trucks! (
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/studioparabole/kona-a-survival-adventure-game) Kona aims to fix that. With 3 days to go they've
almost made their goal.

There's a playable demo on the KS page, it's got some lovely atmosphere and an old truck with quite nice handling, as well as a French guy narrating the spooky things that are going on. It also claims to have Oculus Rift support but I'll be damned if I can get it working with my DK1.
Anyway, pledged!

This looks really interesting, my kind of game. Cash sent. $20 is the way to go btw, you get all 4 episodes, where as the lowest tier, $7, only gets you the first one.

There's a new game on kickstarter that looks like another top down survival horror game similar to teleglitch and darkwood.
Noct - (
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/351030998/noct)
The game also features multiplayer co-op in addition to its single player mode. Furthermore, there is permadeath as you only have one life. The kickstarter has a rather modest goal and it seems that there has already been a bit of work done on the game as the creator plans on releasing an alpha version of the game to backers by the end of October. Anyways, I figured that I would mention it here for those who may be interested.

(
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1752350052/hard-west) Hard West -- a western and horror themed game with X-COM style combat (with a couple of twists on the usual tactical turn-based combat like shadows playing a role and shots that ricochet) and HOMM style overworld map. Funded with about two days left.

Hard West looks great. I'd back it if it wasn't already a sure thing.
Noct on the other hand might get a few bucks from me. Digging the style.

Yup, that's my first Kickstarter pledge in a while. Definitely curious to see what they make of this.

I pledged too, but ouch...November 2016 is a ways off.

So what? They're a very small developer. Also they've probably learnt some lessons from not giving themselves some wriggle room with the estimated release period for Knock Knock's Kickstarter. People whined about Knock Knock's delays.

Impressive that there's so much love for Pathologic out there.
I like how it went from a plan to do a retranslation, to an HD version to a full remake. They're kind of underselling how weird and arty the original was at least. I'm a little worried that the new one won't be as arty or some folks will be annoyed by how it's too arty for them and they just want a stylised plague game.
