Sorry for the double post, but I'm so happy I have to twit this here ;)
After cake-hunting I opened my novel manuscript, started writing, and now IT'S DONE :) Of course I have to go over it again before sending it to my publisher, and I'll probably make quite a bit of re-writing.
But finishing the first draft is one of the major waypoints of the writing process, so to answer the what are you doing? - I'm feeling great! :D
Maybe this calls for some bubbly later

I'm sitting here covered in anti-itch goop which isn't working. I just got back from the clinic, where I got a steroid shot for what is quite possibly the worst case of poison ivy EVER. On top of my existing misery, I had a bad reaction to the shot; got all dizzy and nauseated and had to hang around there for an extra hour so they could observe me and make sure I didn't expire which quite frankly I'm willing to do because DEAR GOD I AM SO ITCHY AND MISERABLE.

Oooooh. I've been there before. 96% of my skin surface covered, left eye swelled shut, stuff actually in my throat. It ain't fun in the least, and I have the deepest sympathy for anyone having to suffer through it.
But you do have a plus side. That horrible steroid shot you had to suffer through kills the stuff pretty damn quick. I was itch free the next day, and the sores and bumps were almost healed by the end of the week. Your days itchiness and suffering are just about over.

I just watched the first half of the Directors Cut of Kingdom Of Heaven.
Armed with a bottle of chilled white wine and a pack of Jammy Dodgers - this is how real men spend their Saturday nights.
For the record - Kingdom of Heaven is a beautiful and very worthwhile movie.

You were right, Ren; I'm better already. Either the shot or the prescription for prednisone did the trick. The itch no longer feels like it's down to the very bone, I actually got some sleep last night, and I'm no longer carrying my hairbrush wherever I go. :D
GOD THAT WAS AWFUL
WHAT A HORRIBLE PLANT
THERE'S JUST NO EXCUSE
*thanks Vassy* :)
