Damn, I tell you. I could use a good outdoorsy unwind at the moment. All this drama with these people I'm installing cameras for is starting to get to me.
I've got this guy whining about a broken computer. I send my partner over there to check out the problem, since I have to download Audigy drivers so dude guy at another store can listen to his MP3s in better quality (urkkkkkkk). He goes over there, checks it out, and finds it's asking for a password. Now these particular people didn't want a password, despite the warnings I gave them. Well, sometime 3 days ago, they changed their minds and decided they wanted to do it themselves...then promptly forgot it. Now they can't get into the system. On top of that, same dude guy's wife spilled something on the keyboard.
Now as far as I know, the only way you can reset a password on one of these systems is to do a complete reformat and start from scratch. I've tried everything I can. Wiped and reinstalled the card, moved it to a different slot, combed the registry...whereever it is, it's well hidden from me and will remain no matter what. So now I've gotta do all that, and because it isn't a problem on my end, I'm charging them $50 an hour, $50 minimum. Cheap considering what I have to do, but the owners aren't happy about it.
I swear. Another week of this and I'm pulling out the ultimatum. They're not only costing me money, they're costing me sanity.

People should have to take an IT test before being allowed on a computer. Like driving a car.
Also, an IQ test before being allowed to breed. :cheeky:

I'm currently working on a football website game and marvelling at how amazingly complex the rules actually are.

"In violation of Ethics Act more allegations were filed today by serial complainer; gave to press be4 we could respond; ridiculous, wasteful,"
Palin tweeted from her Blackberry.
"Some ask why not sue abusers of Ethics Act bc state wastes 1000's hrs/millions of tax dollars to fight (and win!) frivolous charges, though it costs political critics NOTHING to file/play their wasteful game; They should debate policy in political arena, not hide w/process abuse."
"BUT if there was a suit to end public waste of time/funds to constantly address false allegations I could see perhaps a veteran filing it, someone who's put their life on the line protecting even opponents' right to speak & protest, was willing to die for freedom of press but knows it's shameful 4 valuable time& public resources to be diverted from needed causes to deal w/this abuse of government accountability system," she continued.
"Hopefully these political critics filing this stuff (& some in press perpetuating it) appreciate the freedom to do so, protected by our vets."

Reading about the quest for the (

Sounds like it was on purpose to me, Ulukai.
Sometimes you just have to charge an asshole tax, Renz.
I found a mammal bone on the fossil dig which you were not supposed to be able to do. It was about the size and shape of a silver dollar only ruby colored and he took it in for further study. No complete muffin crabs, only muffin tops. Some tiny inch long lobsters of crystaline ruby color odd to see in gray mudstone. Mostly amonites and bivalves.
