A few months ago I fired up DXIW to see if it was really as bad as I remembered it to be. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than when I purchased the game, that is, until I got to Cairo. I encountered a comedy of errors similar to that which Colonel Klink faced:
Shortly after arriving in Egypt, I accidentally knocked a flaming barrel into a bunch of guys who I vaguely remember as a group of thugs that end up trying to mug me; they die and run screaming, with one them accidentally incinerating a guard who wanders into the main bar area killing everyone in sight. That basically killed off all potential sub quests in the bar area. I opted to uninstall rather than reload.
