Saw the title of the thread as "We're doin' it: 2007 musical..." on the main page.
Severely dissappointed at the lack of a ttlg musical. :(

Top Whatever:
* Feist - The Reminder I love everything about this album, from the songwriting to the production.
* Beirut - The Flying Club Cup What Stitch said. This is everything I had been hoping Hawk and a Hacksaw would be, but wasn't.
* Dan Deacon - Spiderman of the Rings All of a sudden I'm a kid again, back in the arcade listening to the chirping music of mediocre games like Zaxxon, when all of a sudden the game cabinet I'm playing explodes and kung-fu fighting dinosaurs come out of the explosion and start wrecking up the place. Then they start singing lullabies.
* Gogol Bordello - Super Taranta! Maybe it's that this is the first album I've heard from them, but their particular brand of gypsy punk has won me over.
* Bishop Allen - The Broken String I like when bands aren't afraid to use non-standard instruments in their songs. Some bass clarinet here, some glockenspiel there really helps fill out the arrangements into something more memorable than they'd be without.
* The National - Boxer I was a bit put off by this at first, because I'm so used to rock singers being tenors. Once I got past that, though, I was left with an excellent album to listen to.
* The Go! Team - Proof of Youth This should probably be in the next list down, but I've heard more than half the album, including the slow song everyone was complaining about, and I loved them all. So I think its safe to say I like the whole thing.
* Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass It's rare that I find a hip hop album that I really get into. This one fit the bill.
Albums I'd undoubtedly love if I heard the rest of them:
* Radiohead - In Rainbows Is it supposed to take five minutes to load each page halfway? Otherwise I'd have this by now.
* PJ Harvey - White Chalk I don't know her other stuff, though I know this album is very different. But "Silence" is a great song, either way.
* Iron and Wine - The Shepherd's Dog Collaborating with Calexico was apparently very good for him. His music's definitely gotten better.
* Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam It took me a long time to 'get' Sung Tongs, but I loved Peacebone and Fireworks the moment I heard them.
* Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero I actually have this. I should listen to it sometime.
Honorable Mention:
* The New Pornographers - Challengers I did a weird 180 with this one. All the songs I liked on first listen I find annoying now, and the stuff I didn't care about I love now. But since there are songs I find annoying (Entering White Cecilia  ) It doesn't get into the top list. "Mutiny, I promise you" is still great, though.
Best EPs:
* The Fratellis - Flathead Why do these guys get compared to the Arctic Monkeys? They're so much better.
* Joanna Newsom - Joanna Newsom and the Ys Street Band With every release, her voice becomes more... tolerable? Less screechy, anyway. And her orchestrations are as lush as ever.
Top Singles (Which are apparently all dance tracks this year):
* LCD Soundsystem - North American Scum "I hate when you look at us that way, just 'cause we're North Americans. But if we act all shy, it'll make it OK."
* M.I.A. - Paper Planes Winner: Best Use of Gunshot Sound Effect
* Justice - D.A.N.C.E. When I listen to this, I get the idea that maybe it should be a guilty pleasure, but it's not. I love it so.
* Devo - Watch Us Work It What? A new Devo single? YES.

You guys all listen the exact same bands. It's like inbreeding.

Album of the year
Einstürzende Neubauten - Alles Wieder offen (supporters edition + Jewels)
The good group:
Mick Harvey - Two of Diamonds (multitalentad strikes again)
Pj Harvey - White Chalk
Grinderman (Two good tracks ditched (Rise + Vortex) but still good)
Dave Gahan - Hourglass
Sophie Zelmani - Memory Loves You (hear weakest, too soft, but still Zelmani)
Disappointing:
Erasure - Light at the end of the World
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Abattoir blues tour (Live DVD. Not the most interesting live show, too gospelly)
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Looking forward to next year:
Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree
Nick Cave - Dig Lazarus Dig
Portishead
A possible new Depeche Mode album (get into the studio boys)

Well, then offer up some new stuff for me to look into, fett.
Also, add Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings - 100 Days, 100 Nights to my Honorable mentions list. It's such a classic sound, it's hard to remember that it was just released a couple months ago. But why does every song seem to fade out in the middle? It's not even a repeat-and-fade, it's just like the producer said "Okay, let's end it here." That's all that's keeping it off the Top Albums list.

As usual I'm not really up to date on music, I've started listening to Radiohead and have just progressed to OK, Computer so maybe sometime in 08 I'll get to In Rainbows. After Get Behind Me Satan being such a departure from Elephant, which I adored, I'd completely forgotten about them. I'll check both of these out at some stage.
My favourites are a list of 06s and 07s, much like my movies:
1. Interpol - Our Love To Admire
2. Junior Boys - So This Is Goodbye (06)
3. ...
Yeah, I suck.
Good pop once you remove the filler, which is most of it and that's to say, there are one or two decent tracks on the entire album:
Nelly Furtado - Loose
Timbaland - Shock Value
Somehow I don't think I'll ever see eye-to-eye with Stitch on his choice of single. Stronger by Kanye West has an interesting introduction but the rest of the song just kills the awesomeness of Daft Punk's original without bringing anything worthwhile to the table. It doesn't help that Kanye's feotal rap lyrics in every song are: uh! yeah. uh! yeah. uh! yeah. and to quote a Jamie Foxx skit, it sounds like a guy getting a blowjob.
My single of the year was Gimme More by Britney Spears.
Seriously.

Stereotypical Rebellious Teenager Edition!
1) Ozzy Osbourne, Black Rain- I think I now know what rock is all about, I have transcended to a new existence. Ozzy has seriously changed in his new music, either he got high of some funky shrooms and got an inspiration, or he has grown wise with age, but either way, I'm liking this.
2) Static-X, Cannibal. The fellas here are not the absolute best, but something about their beats got my blood flowing.
3) Fall Out Boy, Infinity On high- The songs to listen to when you're down, (and a little bit on the horny side) I never quite get tired of the album with the different feelings each song conveys.
