First of all - SFC is working again. Sol_HSA, you are a god among coders. There's some weirdness (for example, in the menus I can slow the music down by waving the mouse around), but the gameplay itself is smooth as silk. And looks sooo nice with the blending that SolVBE does.
There are a few oddities, though, and I was wondering if these are happening to anyone else (and if anyone knows how to fix them):
- When turning around, the speed at which Nikola turns isn't constant! It seems to be a function of which direction he's facing (when heading is x, his turnspeed will be y no matter how many times he spins around) and changes depending on where he's standing, too - perhaps it's polycount-related? It doesn't seem to be, but since I don't know how hard it's actually working to render any given scene... Glancing left and right doesn't seem affected by this, though.
- Looking up and down seems much slower than it was, but without a DOS system to compare on I can't be sure. Perhaps it's just me, but I'm having a lot more trouble hitting things above and below me than I used to. On the other hand, could this be a side effect of running in 320x200 rather than 320x400? I don't see how it could be, but I always ran at x400 before.
- The FMV video plays slightly more slowly than the sound, causing periodic jerks as it skips a second or two to bring them back in sync.
For reference, the system in question is running win2k on a P4/2.6GHz (hyperthreaded), using SolVBE 1.3 and a Radeon 9200.
