what kind of weirdo ruins a perfectly good piece of BDSM tech by putting it on a cow

Good golly, obviously weirdos who're into milking.

Scientists scramble to replicate supposed room temperature and pressure superconductor
An eyebrow-raising claim to have produced the first room temperature and ambient pressure superconductor has sparked both excitement and scepticism in the scientific community. The race is now on to replicate these results with several groups already releasing preprints of their efforts just days after the claim came to widespread public notice.
The supposedly-superconducting material ‘LK-99' is named after two of its discoverers Sukbae Lee and Ji-Hoon Kim, affiliated to the Quantum Energy Research Centre in Korea, and the year of its synthesis, 1999. Reports of LK-99's room temperature and pressure superconductivity appeared in two preprints on the arXiv server in late July with a paper attributed to three authors, Lee, Kim and Young-Wan Kwon at Korea University in Seoul.
Really big news if it plays out.

Never trust a preprint. Peer review, however flawed and cumbersome, is there for a reason.

A bunch of replicating labs have at least reached diamagnetism (and one recently reached superconductivity), so it seems legit, albeit a PitA to manufacture so far.

I'm cautiously excited. Assuming it's replicatable, understanding how it works will open the door to a lot of new materials science that might lead to more practical materials than LK-99.

Fake phones. Chinese companies sell cheap knockoff Iphones and flagship Samsungs that look great from the outside, but are absolute garbage (the Iphones use a skinned version of Android with iOS theme). Fake dud cameras, tiny storage and weak batteries.

This one has 32 million cameras!

"Fake spec"-phones that look similar to popular models both visually and on paper have been around for several years, it's basically just a slight evolution of the cheap USB sticks and SD cards listing fake capacities combined with clone brands in general.
