Weird Specific fps problem.... - by Munkilord

Just installed my new Radeon 9500 pro card and tried Morrowind with it...
Everything looks so much sweeter compared to my old geforce4 ti 4200... except I can't get near winged twilights with real time shadows enabled without suffering a major drop in fps...
If I turn the shadow slider all the way down then my fps stays normal with the winged twilight on the screen... but otherwise its nearly unplayable. Anyone heard of or experienced this problem before?

Radeon 9500 pro card is way outdated, you should get the newest Geforce 9 pro. Nah, can't help you, it's something I've never heard of.

Same with the Golden Saints, I just love that metallic moan.

Look at the bright side....It could happen everytime there was a cliffracer on screen. Then you'd be screwed.;)

Just disable shadows...

Yeah. Shadows don't contribute much to the gameplay. In fact I think it's only dynamic objects that cast shadows (NPC's and the like.) But I'm not sure. Static objects might too...

Your character can also cast shadows, not very good ones though.
RyushiBlade on 27/5/2003 at 22:16
Your character is dynamic like the NPC's. I've never really noticed the shadows though. I might turn them off just to make my game run faster.
