WOW,The radiation is really messing up things in the zone there :o
Do you have any mods installed?
Do you have updated graphics drivers?

You might laugh but that is what I thought first:"Oh that might be part of the game...wow, cars in the trees(?)...uhm...wait a second...that looks weird.."
No mods installed, Patch Version 04, but the graphic drivers might be old. Since it is not my computer I have no idea if she updated them. I will check it out.

It's almost certainly because of inappropriate videocard drivers, try different ones. Also try different graphic settings like DX8/DX9 modes. Is 8400 GS a decent card for Stalker, how much RAM it has?

I ran Stalker on a 7800 GT before i upgraded so it should be sufficient.
Do a driver reinstall; dont use custom ones like from driverheaven or 3dguru (in my experience those are just shaky but its a big world with lots of different rigs) or beta and dont overclock. Thats all the vague half-knowledge i can offer in this case :p

Somehow the error fixed itself. (?) Is that even possible? ;)
I don´t know. I didn´t have any further problems. Might have been a temporary anomaly. :D
