Umm... I haven't been to this site in a while, but recently I've been trying to play Deus Ex on a new computer... I get this odd error:
General Protection Fault!
History: FLightManager::init <- URender::init <- UGameEngine::init <-XGameEngineExt::init <- DDeusExGameEngine::init <- InitEngine
Could some shed some light on this? I'm on a laptop with:
2.0Ghz Celeron
640MB RAM
32MB Intel Graphics Card (82845G)
It is running Windows XP. (Home Edition)

Unfortunatly ive no idea, though it doesnt look like anyone else does either.
if you are using the most recent drivers roll back to one that worked with DX.
Failing that, load dx in safe mode, see if it can be doen, if you can you might be able to tweek some settings.(graphical, hardware etc)
If that fails,try reinstalling and if that dont work try (
