Apologies, I missed that you'd also changed the router. Are you able to disable wireless on your router temporarily and see if that changes anything? I've known similar timing problems with power saving before on wireless connections and although I'm struggling to see how it could affect you if you're connected over a wired connection it might be worth the experiment.
