Not so weird and wonderful but let's see, over the last year I've tried and quite enjoyed two relatively new beverages that I can think of.
(
http://www.bubbletea.com/) Bubble Tea (green apple ftw*)
and (
http://www.seriouschai.com/chai.html) Chai Lattes
I'm mildly addicted to the latter, while only occasionally enjoying the former.
Sharing new drink sensations (alcoholic or otherwise) itt.
* the version I tried didn't have tapoica pearls but some plant extract in tiny minature pearls and these are apparently the new opium of china

Funnily enough, I don't want to have a drink associated with big black balls.
As I said, tapoica aren't the only balls available. I'm sure they'd have little white balls with straws as thin as your narrow white ass. ;)

If there's one thing my ass ain't, it's narrow.
As for the thread topic, I only have to offer the Kentucky Mule/Dark & Stormy (as mentioned (

Unfortunately, I can't find a super market or drink distributor in my neighborhood that carries the sort of
really spicy Ginger Beer that makes the drink special (My staple is (
http://www.bevnet.com/reviews/stewarts/) Stewart's), so I've been reduced to stocking up (hoarding) a case at a time whenever I visit my parents.

I did try the bubble tea, and those chewy tapioca balls go pretty well with the tea. Not crazy about tapioca by itself, tho.

One of my friends turned me on to Chai Latte mixed with Bailey's. Yum!
...haven't had it in a long time. But I'm sorta abstaining from alcohol for awhile so I couldn't do the mix anyway. I'll have to try that Bubble Tea sometime tho.
Maybe I'll try a Chai Latte WITHOUT the alcohol one of these days :thumb:

Mr. Goudas Voodoo Ginger Beer for me, please. I rarely find more than a few dusty bottles on the shelves in the odd supermarket, so I grab them whenever possible. I think the slogan: "Too Spicy For Whitey!" scares off the distributors.
Hey Aja, have you ever tried
Buzz, the beer brewed with hemp?

I'm a sucker for most of the Odwalla drinks (except Superfood). I just had the Pomagrante one this morning, yummy. They're damn expensive, though.

Koala Springs Mango soda with vodka. Yummmm on a hot day.
Favorite drink in the heat is sparkling water with lime or lemon juice. Throw in good quality vodka and it's excellent, especially if you use a really big glass and go light on the vodka--no hangover and you can guzzle it down like iced tea and get a mild buzz without being drunk.
