No eating after 6pm, no chocolate.
Exercise is always good. Try making simple things harder, like taking stairs two at a time, walk faster etc.

This is actually a common misconception. It's all about calories in/ calories burned, just about anything else is irrelevant as far as weight loss goes.

 You lose 21 grams when you die!

Indeed, but the no eating after 6 is more about buffing up your metabolism or something. Or rather in the evenings when you body is at rest and you, for example, eat half a cow, your not going to be burning shit off til the next day.
Regardless, it seems to work. Maybe its just part of the cutting out snacks or something.

Keep eating--some say between 5 and 7 very small meals a day--JUST QUIT EATING CRAP!
- No processed foods
- No pre-packaged foods
- No fast food
- Nothing that contains high fructose corn syrup (even Wheat Thins have the stuff)--it's nothing but pig fattener (in the most literal sense).
- and, the most important one: no soda pop--at all. Period.
I took this approach and lost 30 pounds without one bit of exercise, and was never hungry.

Yes, it works only because you're cutting out snacks (and late night fourth meals), but dinner you consume at 9:00 isn't any worse (or better) for you than dinner you consume at 5:00.

1. Follow weight watchers to the letter.
2. Run 5 miles per day.
(<--lost 25 pounds since mid May).

I find myself being horrendously weak-willed, particularly during high-stress times at work, leading to huge confectionery binge sessions when I'm worried. It's completely undermining my exercise routine etc; can anyone illuminate me on how I keep this under control?
Renault on 31/7/2008 at 23:42
I'm the same way, complete sugar fiend. There's no easy answer, except that I consider the same rule for any food I ingest - everything that goes in, has to be worked off in some way. Thinking of how much exercise will be required to work off, say, a large bag of jelly beans that I polish off in one sitting, keeps me somewhat in line. This is the only way I've found to keep my binges to a minimum.
Sometimes the age old advise of drinking lots of water helps also, mainly because it simply fills you up.
