Every time i see a bad weather, should take precaution and find a shelter if possible. Those Thunderstorms should rock and hit something even your character and again those stupid NPCs love walking around in the rain with hot torch lit lol.
Deadly Sandstorm, could lose you balance easy or blown away!
Maybe the next Elder Scrolls will be more realistic someday i hope. :sly:

The snowstorms in Bloodmoon are very disorientating, if only because my computer slows down when they start.
I think that one should take cold damage in icy water.

I gotta get one of those torches. They stay lit in the midst of a monsoon, or in the blowing gale of a sandstorm.
Maybe Zippo has an office in Morrowind and makes them :cheeky:

Yeah sweet dreams good luck looking for those torches... :cheeky:

I totaly agree, the environment should be more deadly. And why is it when the NPC are in a sandstorm they dont take shelter but in the man quest you talk to some people who say they take shelter from the sandstorms. you think it would be easy to program that in to, because when your a vampire you take damage from the sun but it is reduced when your in the sandstorms or the rain. So why couldnt they just mke the sandstorms do damgae to normal people. o well wishful thinking.

Except that then everyone would end up dead, and that wouldn't be fun at all. Getting all the AIs to go inside would cause problems as well - the game would constantly need to be checking the weather everywhere in order to trigger the right AI, and that would be huge consumer of resources. For example, I am in Ald'ruhn. A storm kicks up. Everyone goes inside (IF they could deal with going inside and still functioning). I go inside. I use Divine Intervention. Do the AIs now come back out? In which case, the game is having to shift AIs in the background.
Also, storms would also have to damage the player to be consistent, and that wouldn't be fun at all - you'd never know when a storm would kick up and so could be subjected to unfair random deaths.

True my PC is already choppy while playing it anyway i wouldnt want it any worst than it is already.
The game play good most of the time.
Imagine walking/running while wearing heavy armor in the sandstorm, get blown over and having a hard time to get back up on your feet. Again in the thunderstorm, watchout for that big ol' lightning bolt if it is raining.
Oh well it just a video game, nothing bad gonna happen to you. But remember better eat and sleep often or you will face uncertain death. :ebil:
