You probably found the Storming Abakan that the bandit named Friar usually carries. I always find him on my way out of the Agroprom undergrounds.

I'm stuck on this mission as well. Exactly what type of gun is Dutyer's rifle? Is it the AN-94 w/ the grenade launcher?

Yes, it's called the storming obokan in-game (provided you don't have the real gun names mod).

funnily enough, I just decided to play STALKER again for the first time in ages rather than Obilvion, and whilst waiting for Dead Space to be released, and came across this odd little bug. The marker for the weapon always stays still on one place in the bandit camp in Dark Valley... ive been and killed every bandit, and walked around holding the F key desperately hoping it had fallen somewhere where i couldnt see it, and then admitted defeat and had a look on these forums. Seems im not the only one with issues with this mission! Oh well, ill wander around aimlessly until I find it.

i happened to meet the guy holding it every time on the same spot. when entering the buildings in dark valley I fought up a desolate building and then down again to the lowest floor. it's actually the main entrance of the building where you have to get the 2nd lab key for the x1?-lab, lower floor. there are 2 pairs of staircases leading up to the 1st floor where you have the entry passage for the offices where you find the key (i think he's called borov). one of the ~4-8 guards there carried the obokan.

I met him at the north gates to the complex everytime. The guy was wearing a long coat.

The only guy ive seen with a long coat is Borov, and I shot him into tiny pieces a while ago. I found one normal guy with an Obokan, but not a special one.

I've only met him there once. It was on my first playthrough, with version 1.0001. Since 1.0003, I always find him in the Agroprom area.
