In the old Thief games, all of the weapons (excluding the blackjack) had an effect on you're gem (made it brighter). I noticed that none of the weapons in Thief 3 (except the fire arrows) did this and I personally would like to have it back.
Does anyone else agree with me? If so maybe one of you could whip up a script for it or something. I don't believe they included that property in the editor. Then again...you could just ad the light property to select weapons...?

The property does exist in the editor and is very easy to impliment. I included it in the latest version of (
http://www.timgormley.ca/~minimalist) The Minimalist Project.
Hilight a weapon in the editor, and look under Weapon / Exposure.
For the bow, you will see 0.075 as the setting. In Minimalist version 1.4, I gave all weapons that setting, with the exception of the BlackJack..it does not penalize the player, just like the old games. I'm currently working on a version of the editor that will have a lot of bug fixes like this for settings that were in the original games but were left out of TDS for no real reason. I feel it's important for FM authors to have a consistent foundation to begin basing their FM's on. Doing my best to get it together soon.

Yes, I've heard very good things about The Minimalist Project.
Well I guess that answers my question. Thanks!

Great! But, New Horizon, could you also prepare some kind of "patch" for those who already have the editor installed? Or are you just planning to release the whole new / improved editor?

Depending on what needs to be done, I might have to release the whole package. Due to the compression package of the installer I think I'm going to be able to get the whole thing around 50 to 60 megs smaller when I'm finished. A rough test I did a few weeks ago was 80 megs smaller in size. I'll definately look into a patch though...but it may not be possible with the single install folder setup.
