Wait, wait, wait.
Are you trying to tell me you're both living in SIN?!

...like the smoke from a hundred barbeques.
I can see the fog now.
When I was in college I took a biospeleology class and we took a trip to Bracken Bat Cave outside of Austin. Coolest thing ever! The bats hang out in Austin under a big bridge and they travel between Austin and their homebase Bracken Cave. We all stood around the outside of the cave (can't get near the entrance with out a breather, DUNG!) and when the bats returned from Austin they come screaming into the cave at unreal speeds. So fast you can hear them whiz by through the air, it's really incredible.
I, however, could not make them do my bidding.
Also, that picture in your tv room has some serious "Awww factor" going on.

It's only a sin if the Power of Christ compells you.

No silly; they're living in California. ;)
I do love a good romance story (bats and bugs notwithstanding) and definitely needed a good laugh. Thanks GBM and Starr. The sun came out again for me this morning for the first time in ages after reading your post. And ... since I'm only a couple inches taller than 5 ft. (I'm actually quite tall for my height you know), there was no danger of having my head french-fried. (Try aloe for that next time, GBM.)
Best wishes on your cohabitation. Looking forward to more updates and pics.
P.S. Here's a pic of a Midwest Mosquito. Needless to say, we go through gallons of insect repellent every summer. No; that's not me in the pic.

Anyone who's lived here knows that the two are not far seperated, which is why it's so god damned buggeroff HOT of late
Also camping = win. Any activity that allows axe wielding without zombies, or people running in terror from me is fun (though that second one is a whole world of fun all by itself).
Haven't been in years, though, nor to Monterey. Does it still have like, 18 ice cream parlors in a two block area, and/or a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant?

I am not sure if it's just me getting older or not, but the heat nowadays is vicious.
Anyway, I went camping quite often when I was in school, but that was a while ago. If you haven't already, I would recommend checking out the Sequoia-Kings Canyon area when you have a few days off. Personal experience will vary, but I got blown away by the night sky. Also there are a couple of big trees there, too, with their hugantic pine cones of death.

That wasn't a bat eating a centipede. That wasn't a bat eating a centipede at ALL.
:wot:
Also I'm glad that was in black and white because I bet that centipede is a really gross fleshy colour that would put me off my food.
